We are a couple with a 2 year old son. Spacious enough room and good bed. We stayed in a king size room which also had a sofa bed, quiet, on a raised floor and overlooking herald square. We saw Macy's and the Empire state building from our bedroom window, which was fantastic. Small but functional bathroom. Room has an...

I was very pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the hotel. From the bellman, to the desk clerk, to the cleaning staff, to the amazing corner room this is by far the best hotel I have stayed at in Manhattan. The spacious 9th floor corner room afforded a view of Herald Square and Macy's on one side and up 6th...

We searched and searched for hotel for a friend's birthday weekend in NYC right before Christmas. We wanted something convenient, comfortable and reasonable. We were all really happy with our choice! I could see the amazing Macy's windows from my room. It was so special to be able to view the windows at night upon our return from dinner each...

After recently staying in a couple of five star hotels in New York City, I wasn't really looking forward to this stay except for the fact that I knew it would have a convenient location. Boy was I wrong. From the minute I checked in and let me just mention check-in literally took less than one minute, until checkout I...

Spent 5 days here for work and couldn't complain about anything. Everyone was so friendly and "Michael" the concierge was absolutely wonderful!!! My room was on the 14th floor near the elevator, which usually would bother me but didn't this time. Size of the room was great with a king bed Lobby level there is a place to grab coffee...

I highly recommend the Courtyard Marriott/ Herald Square... Location was amazing. The subway was literally just a few steps from the front entrance. The hotel was a bit small but very clean. Housekeeping did an amazing job with cleaning our room daily and leaving plenty of towels for us to use. The staff was helpful and kind. I will be...

Nothing we would have changed. The location was perfect for everything we did. The room was on the small size but had all we needed with great views. The beds were just right! The staff was top notch and took care of us like friends. Jose was especially awesome. He gave us great recommendations! Would stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Courtyard New York Manhattan/Herald Square. The location was perfect. Having a subway stop right out the front door made getting around so simple. We have to give a shout out to the awesome bellman Jose! He grabbed a map and helped us enjoy our short trip. He was so welcoming and gracious with...

We just spent 4 nights at this hotel for our 10th anniversary. We booked it using Chase reward points, so I can't comment on the value. The location could not be more convenient to the subway - 7 different lines literally just steps outside the door. There are also a decent selection of restaurants within a few blocks - a...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
