The budget inn is a reliable Hostel. In my view it is expensive but has a quality and reliable service. Clean, always. With coffee in the morning (4 tiny balls of donut and coffee) served in ridiculous place. Has no living room or dining which is unforgivable. The reception is very nice and the staff. The rooms are well equipped,...

We loved our stay at the NYBI. We were there for 10 nights in total and while the rooms were small, it was more than enough for the small amount of time we spent in them. The staff were excellent, helping us out whenever we needed and always available for a chat. Karaoke and pizza nights are a whole heap...

The hostel is very clean, but too hot during the night. The location is great; very central. Walking distance to almost everything. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I would really recommend this hostel.

Spent 4 nights in Dec staying in a single private room as a solo female traveller: The bad parts: be prepared the room is tiny, I know that space is at a premium in NYC & you don't go on holiday to spend time in your room, but even the short time I was in my room was a squeeze....

The staff make this place - I was traveling alone and they made me feel so welcome and valued, they were very accommodating and friendly. Pizza and karaoke nights twice a week with Brit and Daniel are where it's at! Great location close to Empire State Building and walking distance to Times Square, Central Park, shopping and other hot spots....

Earlier this month my fiancé and I spent 2 nights at New York Budget Inn, and we were pretty impressed. This was our first stay at a hostel, and we were not expecting what we got! The rooms were small, but had just enough room to be comfortable. Our room (unfortunetly) had a bunk bed, which was surprisingly comfortable, a...

This place was great. Only selected due to the prices, as it was the cheapest place we could find in Midtown Manhattan. We got a private double room for about £70/night, with shared bathroom. The room was a good size, with a locker(bring your own padlock) tv, fridge and a microwave. We had a bunk bed which did concern me,...

Stayed here for 5 nights and would highly recommend it if you are looking for safe, secure, very clean and budget friendly accommodation. Location is within walking distance of major sites. As a well-seasoned , solo female traveller in New York, it was the perfect place to rest my weary head at night. Best of all were the wonderful ,...

Hostel is clean and secure in a great location for seeing manhattans sites. Not cheap by hostel standards, but very cheap by manhattan standards. You can walk to all the major sites from here, but if you are lazy or the weather isn't so good there are good subway and bus connection nearby. Bars and restaurants nearby are ok but...

Location is great and it was so clean. The cleanliness was one of the main things I was looking for and it didn't dissapoint. To realize how often they cleaned showers, I will tell you that I always had a shower in a just cleaned bathroom. Showers where outside my room, and I figured I would have to wait in...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
