We booked the highest category room the hotel had, but found the rooms to be tiny, even by New York standards. Another issue that came up was cleaning. All the days of our visit we left the room at around 8am and would be back by 12-1pm to find the room not yet cleaned. When mentioning that to the hotel...

Wonderful stay; at first was disappointed in size of room, bed, etc, but after staying there, totally comfortable and appreciated the quality of the room, bed, linens, shower, bathroom supplies (but would like up graded t-p). Would also like a light weight blanket. LOVED breakfast. Don't ever take the avocado toast with eggs off the menu! Loved also the waiter...

Rooms are really small ,so are the beds (1,60) and you better beware of extras : our waiter asked if we wanted our scrambled eggs with bacon - the eggs are in the menu but the bacon is extra ! also ,our room was not well cleaned unfortunate when you pay 470$ a day .

My two teenagers and I just stayed 5 days in Walker Greenwich Hotel and this is definitely where we will stay in the future, when we come to NYC. The location is just perfect! The Village itself is charming with trees and beautiful townhouses and you can reach both Meatpacking, High Line Park, Soho and Flat Iron within 15 minutes...

Be prepared. The rooms are small. BUT they are also lovely! Very clean, bright & up to date. Plenty of room for one person. If you get a little claustrophobic, there's lots of comfy gathering space in the lobby. The staff is the nicest I've experienced in NYC & the location was awesome. Our breakfast was top notch! Great stay--I'll...

The Walker Hotel has a fantastic location in Greenwich Village. Our room (1503) had a fantastic view south of the Freedom Tower and lower Manhattan. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very quiet even when we opened the window.

Stayed here for nine nights on a recent business trip to NYC. Hotel has a very 1940's vibe with art deco decor in the guest rooms. My room was on the 11th floor and at the front of the building. Since the Walker is in a residential area I found it to be quiet - away from the sirens and...

This hotel is located in Greenwich Village. It is around a $50 Uber ride from Laguardia airport. I made the mistake of using the hotel service. The hotel service charged $71. I learned from it and took Uber back to Laguardia for $50. The hotel car service that they use is not very good. It took their pick up service...

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
