Like others wrote in their review, the Pod is a hidden gem. I wanted to experience the cozy compact college dormitory room feeling so I checked in here. It's cool, crowded, cute with light decorations. The rooms aren't as tiny as people complained. It was okay. I would recommend booking the queen room for privacy. The Pod is edgy and...

The rooms are small, but well-designed. And the location would be very hard to beat. The $4 breakfast is amazing and I used it 4 out of 5 mornings. I wish the sink was a bit smaller, but loved the shower. Actually I wish there was a clothing rod....the odd wall hooks make it hard to move things around. But...

Great location and the rooms was quite good - however also to the small side. Was in a room for myself - not sure it would have been a good room if my girlfriend was with me. Cozy bar and especially the rooftop bar was great at night with great views of New York A small issue with the reception...

Booked the small bunk room for a weekend in the city. Two travelers. Three nights. These rooms are small! They are, on whole, well thought out and, once you have arrived at a system for sharing them, they are comfortable. You will find inside: *Two twin-sized bunk beds with two pillows each, a sheet and a European style coverlet. Each...

Heard a lot of this hotel . Tried out the bunk room . Room measured 3.5m by 3 m . Musty smell about it . Incredibly soft mattress . Stayed at the arlo after . Much better alternative for a few dollars more

First: I expected far more smaller room, but I was surprised that queen pod was just ok. Even the queen bed with one big planked or toilet's glass door wasn't any issue. ;) Bed and pillows were ok. Our 6th floor room was clean, nice and quiet, even though there were parties every night at the hotel's restaurants. If I...

Great location but note that the rooms are very small. Clean and space efficient furnishings. Only drawback is the glass enclosed bathroom (frosted glass) so there is not a lot of privacy. Rooftop bar is fun but gets crowded.

Clean and comfortable. Very well situated near Grand Central. Bunk beds are super comfortable. Room was small, as expected. Impressively space-efficient. My only suggestion to the hotel would be to replace the clear bathroom doors with something more opaque.

I stayed in Pod 39 in January. The room was quite small but very clean, very practical. I looked for this hotel because it was near Lexington Avenue. It has a beautiful view from the Rooftop Bar. The only thing I complain about is the front desk staff who have to improve their attitude, leave the New York sarcasm and be...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
