Bed is very comfortable, room very clean. Shower amazing, staff friendly and helpful. Room was very small, but as was only using for sleeping in not a problem. Roof top bar wasn't open which was a shame, but very central to everything, would definitely stay again
Thank you guys. I always choose you in NYC. You're kind of family to me and my staying there is super comfortable. Super clean rooms. Super kind supportive staff. Awesome morning coffee service , delicious. Until next time! Hugs, Silvia
Do you hang out in your hotel room when you visit NYC? Most answer no which is why you should stay at Pod 39! Can’t beat location, cozy clean room, and best of all your wallet will be happy. All Pods are good, liked this one the best!
Comfortable bed, excellent location, great staff and communication. Heater in my room was a little loud but overall great stay. Great value for the price. Free coffee and tea each morning. Felt safe .
Great LOCATION and beautiful lobby with some things to do. Clean rooms, perfect for couple or people that are going to be out of room, only go to hotel for sleeping. Very small space for walk or luggage but work for us.
Stayed here for 1 week in a private double room. It might be adequate for 1 person but way too small for 2 people. There is really nowhere to put our stuff and we only had one backpack each. Bathroom door and shower wall is all semi-frosted glass so there’s no privacy. On top of which the door couldn’t fully close— think poop smells throughout the room each time someone had to go #2. Tv is tiny and doesn’t swivel and when you open the window blinds it just covers half the tv. What a joke. The absolute worst thing about our stay was 3 full days of fire alarm testing that we were not made aware of before booking. Alarm testing started around 9am and went through the afternoon! Totally unacceptable! Not only could I not sleep in but I couldn’t work from my hotel room. The alarms were nonstop and obnoxiously loud. I felt like I was being tortured and was forced to leave to find some peace. I had other options with even lower prices, so I would not have chosen to stay if I had known about the fire alarms beforehand. I asked the front desk about a discounted stay due to the fire alarm disturbance and not only did they say no, they weren’t nice or apologetic about it. Also, the rooftop bar is closed until spring! It was a big reason for staying there. Overall, I do not recommend Pod 39. Location was mediocre, other than being close to Grand Central, location wasn’t great. No food open late at night in that area.…
Combination of price and location make this place already hard to beat in midtown Manhattan. Rooms are small but if you just want a place to sleep and wash up it’s perfect - the size of the rooms also facilitate consistent cleaning and room service. Took a point off for sleep quality but that was just because they had a fire alarm test for a few days, bad luck
Pod 39 is centrally located, safe, clean, and very reasonably priced. I've stayed here before and when I needed a place to stay at the last minute, it was my logical choice. I've recommended it to several friends.
fantastic hotel, excellent location, very very clean, rooms always precise, clean and tidy, super welcoming staff and receptionists available and kind, in particular MATHEW and EUGENE who were very helpful and kind. thank you very much for everything, I recommend this structure, maximum score.
There's nothing I can complain about! The facility is even better looking than I had anticipated and amenities work perfectly. Staff was cordial and respectful, the bed was comfortable. Would recommend to anyone
