Let me emphasize that under NO circumstances should you buy timeshares (anywhere)! The salespeople do not tell you everything you need to know and, in fact, they will lie to get a sale. No matter how good they make it sound there are many “downsides” to timeshare ownership that are dismissed or not explained. If you already own and want to go to NYC this location is well maintained and conveniently located. Do not book through Wyndham. Instead trade for this location through RCI. I have done that several times and it takes a lot fewer points. There was no housekeeping in our room for the entire week of our stay, which is inconvenient and frankly unacceptable for a place that wants you to think it provides “better quality” accommodations. Wyndham is still using Covid as an excuse to provide less services.…
We stayed in a 2 bedroom presidential suite. It was clean and modern and a comfortable size for 4 people. On the down side, other than closets to hang clothes, there was no storage for other clothing and little to no space for toiletries in the bathroom. Staff was friendly and helpful. No in-unit laundry. Only four washers and dryers on the 3rd floor for a 32 story building. Not all were working. Elevators were quite inefficient. They actually skipped floors that were called. Location was close to Grand Central Station. Many sites were within walking distance. Nice lounge on the top floor with free coffee and tea. Overall a nice place to stay with a few minor inconveniences.
DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! They cancelled our booking when we were due to arrive in 4 days from Ireland, leaving us out of pocket for the booking of a new hotel. They overbook and then cancel rooms. Do not book their hotel - they are a bunch of clowns and were no help whatsoever in getting the issue resolved. Absolutely disgraceful customer service.
Excellent reception, room was actually ready upon our early arrival. Receptionist was friendly and helped immediately. Hotel is centrally located and close to Grand Central. Room was great, clean and with all amenities. We were told that it is a timeshare hotel/resort and that cleaning was not available but if we needed anything it would be brought up to the room. All in all very good and would definitely come back again.
This hotel is very ran down. The walls n doors are super thin that you hear people sneezing next door. We got absolutely NO sleep as it's extremely busy outside with cars tooting, trucks passing, people shouting, construction work and these guys didn't even bother to make the windows double glazed, you hear everything happening outside. NO SLEEP even with earplugs. The shower is awful, there's no water pressure and we struggled to even wash our hair. There's an awful smell of laundry all over the hotel that's really unpleasant. There's no room service, you have to change your own bed, take out the towels and rubbish yourself. Staff tried to be lovely but didn't make up for the awful experience. The location is good but really isn't that great either. I wouldn't waste my money here at all. …
We have been Premier Members of Wyndham for 20+ years and have stayed at this location 5-6 times over years. Aside from the location which is superb and in the midst of everything, I can’t say much more to recommend it. Although spacious enough, the room is worn, tired and drab. The bathroom is old and not at all suitable for folks in their mid 70’s. No shower stall, high sides on the tub, little shelf space, no exhaust fan and the water in the shower keeps going off as water pressure fluctuates. The staff is wonderful and enthusiastic but unfortunately that does not compensate for the inconveniences. To top it off their sales promotion was several doors away and in an entirely different building.
This hotel cancelled my booking for this week even though it was confirmed and paid since last July. This is one of the busiest week of the year in NYC with all hotels now sold out. The hotel offered no compensation. The company I booked through rebooked me to a worse hotel in a smaller room as that was all that was available.
Do not book this hotel, meant to be checking in on Saturday the 17th of September and the hotel cancelled my booking. The never contacted booking. Com and I had too inform them myself, Absolute disgrace that they can cancel my booking 3 days before arrival. All the hotels have doubled on price and the this hotel won't answer the phone. They had the cheek to send email to say I had cancelled my booking (lies). Please read the reviews before booking lots of families had there bookings cancelled 2 or 3 days before arriving. Gangsters that's all they are 😡😡.
Booked to arrive this Saturday 17th September for our wedding anniversary as a surprise from my husband for my 50th only to find hotel cancelled our room saying they are fully booked ...flying from Ireland in 4 days no hotels suitable as all have doubled in prices ...this hotel never answered the phone, no apologies, and left us in an awful position 😢 how can booking engines deal with this hotel !!!!keep away...please do not book with them...Read other reviews and DO NOT BOOK THEM....
Staff were welcoming and helpful. Our 1 bedroom suite was perfect for our stay with a kitchen included. The roof top patio was simply amazing especially at sunset! This is a quick walk to Grand Central Station so you can go anywhere quickly.
