We moved here from the Carlyle hotel and well what a difference! World class hotel - spacious rooms for NYC, superb park view, the best manicure I've ever had at the spa and very central especially if it's your first time to NYC. My husband tends to gravitate towards this hotel as he usually stays at the manadarin in Hong... More

The view of snowy Central Park and service in the hotel were incredible. Asiate is a must to go and to their lobby bar for breakfast.Their blueberry pancakes are heaven!!!! Everyone is extremely polite, patient and they will truly work with you to accommodate your needs. One of a very few nyc hotels that have absolutely everything you need in... More

We had a nice afternoon tea, the ginger scones were special but the price was eye-watering (just shy of 200 dollars for afternoon tea, two glasses of their cheapest champagne and a standard tip). We hoped to get a seat near the window but were out of luck and they mixed up our reservation date. The clientele seemed dominated by... More

Stayed here for a week in a Hudson View room. The view is spectacular. Had adjoining rooms with my teenagers, worked very well, as there was a second door that could be closed, creating your own apartment. They look after you exceedingly well here. Lobby view of the park is worth seeing as is the view from the restaurant. Pool... More

I actually cannot think of anything negative about this hotel! Everything from the customer service to the restaurant to the rooms and view are on another level to any other hotel in New York! The rooms are very big for NY standards and the view on Central Park in the restaurant is amazing.

A fantastic experience. We had the city skyline view room, but it also gave us a nice view of Central Park. Perfect location close to metro lines and with walking distance to some of New Yorks greatest sights.

The Mandarin in NYC is definitely one of the best places you can stay in NYC. If you have the freedom of budget for a luxury hotel I would recommend this one for its keen location in Columbus Circle, which is within walking distance to several shops and restaurants and Central Park! But I also love the lobby bar restaurant... More

Mandarin Oriental was, by far, the best hotel I've stayed in. It truly was an experience. Everyone in the hotel made it a point to say hello, ask if I needed anything, etc. The fitness center was fantastic. The room was a showstopper . . . The bathroom was so spa-like. I was more comfortable than I knew I could... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
