One of the two elevators were broken during my entire stay. And I stayed longer than a week. The espresso machine was also broken a couple of days. The breakfast was below par so I went out for breakfast. Other than that I was pleased. The small gym had what you need to stay in shape, the rooftop bar was...

Location was great, located right in the Chinatown and close to Little Italy and the public train station that'll bring you uptown. Many great restaurant near by and across the street from what use to be diamond district. The rooms are newer, clean but small compare to other nearby hotels. The beds are actually smaller then what one might be normal...

We had a room with a balcony on the 15th floor. Amazing view!!! Ok sized room, but it could use an upgrade, bigger bed and more storage space. I liked that room always were nice and clean, and you get fresh towels whenever you need it. The hotel has a good vibe, with a very nice rooftop bar, with also...

We were looking for a hotel in the East Village area but accepted an expansion of the search area and ended up at the Wyndham Garden Chinatown. The property: our room was clean, reasonable size for a NYC hotel and it did the job. The heat was off for the season and we had a cold snap --- the staff...

I am truly baffled at the logic behind this nonsensical design. Why on earth would you have only HALF A SHOWER DOOR? It just doesn't make sense. It probably isn't because of a price thing, cheaper for just 1 shower door. It has to be a design thing. Let me tell you, DESIGN FAIL!!!! I sincerely hope they have good...

After much research, I found that Wyndham Garden Chinatown gave the best deal for the money and for a hotel in lower Manhattan. The room was lovely, with floor to ceiling windows and a view of the skyline, including the Empire State Building. Apparently the rooms with views cost a little more, but just a little and it was so...

This hotel is in a great location for visiting the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Century 21 etc, all are within easy walking distance and there are subway stations within east walking distance to access midtown NYC. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are of a good size, we didn't eat here because there is so much choice...

My wife, and I made a quick trip to NYC to do some sightseeing. The hotel was perfect for what we were looking for. Great staff, clean room with a great view, and in walking distance to some great parts of the city. Would definately stay here again if I make it back to NYC.

I didn't expect this hotel will impress me as it is located right in Chinatown. The lobby is simple and the check-in agent is very nice and fast. There are 3 different style of bar/lounge in this hotel. There is a bar located outside the hotel lobby and one on lobby level. Another one with the beautiful view of NY...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
