We had a great experience from check in to check out. The room was just as advertised and the view was exactly what we wanted. (We paid the extra fee in order to receive the room on a higher floor.) Room itself was clean and comfortable. Distance is near the buses and metro stations which made it very convenient.
The view from the 15th floor was amazing. Most of the hotel staff were awesome. The only thing I didn’t like was on the Friday of my visit, they closed the rooftop bar to the public because of a private party they had. I was disappointed that I had to go outside for drinks.
Pros Very clean, either new or recently updated, modern decor, pretty quiet area, nice views of the city, on-site restaurant. Considering the size of the room they were able to fit everything I needed in it. I thought the price was super reasonable for NYC ($187 for one night with all taxes and fees). The Shinka Ramen Bar is really good! See my other review on that. Cons Didn't seem like the best part of town to be in for someone traveling solo. I didn't feel comfortable venturing out after dark. Bathroom has one whole wall of glass, which was kind of neat, except it has a thin window covering and a frosted glass bathroom door - which combined caused night lights to shine into the bedroom. I ended up hanging some clothes over the door to somewhat shade it. I like my room very dark. Room was small but seemed average for NYC. Shower doesn't have a door that closes, therefore water sprays out of it, and you get kinda cold. It's a small sink area with very little countertop. Just because my cons list is longer than my pros list does not mean I wouldn't recommend it. Everything I didn't love was pretty minor. I mostly would try to pick another area to stay in, assuming I could afford it.…
We stayed here for two nights this week for the 25th anniversary of our first date. We were on the 10th floor with a great view. This room given to us was upgraded. Everything was great with the room. It was clean and comfy. The only thing was the shower. Only had one door and the floor get wet when we took showers. Had to put towels down. Had dinner the first night in the Beer Garden downstairs. The second night we went to Little Italy for some great Italian food. There were really no breakfast places close by so we ordered breakfast for both days from Grub Hub from a restaurant on Canal called Bosscat. Very good. All in all we enjoyed our anniversary stay!
Wyndham Garden Chinatown is a great place to stay. Close to everywhere, the room is clean, quiet and the reception lady (Tiffany) was friendly and very helpful. I also saw some not so good reviews in the past but I think this place is a lot better now than the past because of the new management. We recommend Wyndham Garden Chinatown and we will stay there agin in the future.
The property is a horrible place to stay . The room were very small. The odor in the room was horrible. The room needs to be updated. The check in was extremely slow.It took almost a hour for me to check and I was the only one checking in.
My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wyndham Garden. It is a no fuss hotel with small but cute basic room with a fantastic view of the city. Though a tad threadbare on some of the furnishings it was clean, felt very safe and secure, and was exactly what we needed for a short jaunt in the city.
This hotel is in a cool area and near to subway station. The bed is comfy and the room a fair size.. however.. the staff need to improve.. a lot! On arrival the reception lady ( Tiffany) who had some good reviews here was totally overwhelmed and disorganized, after waiting post 3pm, the initial room issued was incorrect and she had to reverse the initial deposit and charge card again for deposit.. seemed like odd process.. but finally we got a room. Told that room cleaning service is on request only.. we booked the service daily and two days in a row no service received.. complained and excuse was house keeping lady didn’t speak English! She can’t read the service card!! But we booked at recep.. so that didn’t fly .. All in all ok stay and check out better but staff not great for a 4 star..…
First time here and I’ll be back again The place looks amazing inside and out The rooms were nice and clean, the beds felt comfortable. I stayed in the 12th floor and had a great view of China town and the area around the hotel Also it was in an area with amazing walking distance to multiple great restaurants and stores and all for an affordable price The soaps were very cute it brought a smile to my face see it The only few things I do wish was better would be the stand in shower because all though it looks cute with just a glass wall with the current shower head it had, water would get all over the place outside the stand in shower and make it a hassle to have to clean it up with towels The second thing is, and perhaps it was just the room I was staying in but, the a/c did not cool down unless the window was open regardless on how low the temp was set Also no microwave in the rooms, so don’t plan on bringing food back for later But other than that guest services was amazing at helping me with an questions and the stay was very nice for 3 days and 4 night…
friendly customer service. nice location. both China town and little Italy walking distance. Other interesting area also not far from the hotel I wish the bar stay open late, and parking is little cheaper than the current price
