Greeted by a great staff was my initial welcome on a Sunday afternoon. A pleasant welcome to New York and my first time staying at this particular Hyatt. The staff was amazing, helpful and a great sense of humor. Other Hyatt properties are great in the city, but this hotel has won my heart for the staff and the quality...

I had to stay for some business meetings in the Empire State Building and the Hyatt Place was very convenient as it was only a couple of blocks away. Because I also travel into NYC via Amtrak it was also convenient to Penn Station. In addition to convenience, the room was very clean and all of the staff members that...

We have stayed at the Hyatt Place Midtown South several times. The location is perfect for us. We travel to NYC via Amtrak. It is a short walk from Penn Station. We shop at Macy's Herald Square during many of our visits. The hotel could not be more convenient for that. There are numerous places to eat at all price...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
