As noted, it is very close and convenient to Times Square. You can walk most places and a subway is only half a block away. Central Park is only half a mile away and you run there in the early mornings. The rooms are a little dated with worn furniture and furnishings, but it is very clean. The beds are not the traditional "Heavenly Beds" and lines, but they are still comfortable. For business travelers, the plugs at the desk are very limited, so you need to be clever in charging outlets. I will admit the highlight is the staff who are very friendly, helpful and working hard to make it great experiences for visitors.

We stayed here in Aug for 6 nights. We were on the 35th floor with a fantastic view of the Empire State Building and also towards Times Square. The view sums up New York! The desk staff, concierge, restaurant and door staff were all great and very helpful. The room was a good size with a nice shower/bath. There was a mini bar in the room but it was empty which was fine. There was a coffee machine, iron and board, big TV and a safe. The room was cleaned everyday and couldn't fault the cleanliness in anyway. We stayed there with a Virgin Holiday and with the resort fee, we made use of the attraction tickets and $30 per day credit. I would recommend this hotel as its near the Subway, close but far enough away from Times Square to see New York.

My 2 year old daughter and I recently stayed at the Westin for 2 nights. It’s in a convenient location, as not too busy in front of the hotel, but only a 2 minute walk to Times Square. Solomon was super helpful with collecting and storing our luggage, and assisted with transportation. Will definitely be back!

We stay at the Westin each year when attending the USOpen over Labor Day weekend. The 7 subway entrance is directly next to the Westin and you get to the Open within 35 minutes. Location near Times Square is ideal for Broadway shows and dinners. My elite benefits got us an upgraded corner King room and 2 free breakfasts each day. Yes, there is a $30 per day Destination Charge. If you book thru Marriott, you will know this, in advance. The $30 gives you food and beverage credit each day. Since our breakfast was already free, we used the credit for drinks or dessert, in the evening. However, the F&B credit resulted in the breakfast dining area and the bar, at night, to be much more crowded than we’d ever seen. Overall, our trip went well and we’ll return in 2023.

We took a weekend, family trip to NYC and stayed at this location. The hotel is just far enough away from times square to not be super busy but had great access to all the nearby attractions. There was plenty of security to ensure there wasn't a risk. The gym was spacious and had a lot of equipment to offer the guests. There is a bakery across the street that has a great selection.

My sister, niece and I stayed for four nights at the Westin. Great location, fabulous room (two double beds) with amazing views on the 43rd floor and generally helpful and friendly staff. Our problem came at checkout when we were presented with a bill of $189 which is an incidental fee. I have no idea what that is and also the $30 a day we are supposedly given to spend in the breakfast room added to the confusion. My family are reasonably intelligent- we have seven degrees between us, but still could not understand how three breakfasts and 6 coffees came to such a huge amount! When we checked in nothing was mentioned about these extra charges. One manager did say, quite aggressively, that it was in the small print of Expedia when we booked the hotel. When my sister, who is partially deaf, mentioned that it was difficult to hear what the check-in lady was saying, the female manager showed no sympathy to my sister’s plight and basically presented us with a fate a complis. The check out process spoiled the last day of our holiday. It should be made clearer when booking and at check-in that you will have these extra charges to pay. I am not sure I’d stay again; the attitude of the female manager towards my sister was not how should treat guests who’ve paid a lot of money to stay in their hotel.

The hotel charges you a $30 a day fee that you can use at the restaurant- supposedly - only the bar is open. After waiting 25 minutes and asking if we could get service we gave up and left. Seriously. Only the bar is open, no room service, no restaurant. No other amenities for the $30 a day, which they say you can apply to non existent services. Just know, on top of the room rate you can expect to pay an extra $30 for nothing.

Best thing is location! It’s in the perfect spot for Times Square & the theatre district. Close to several metro lines & port authority. Stayed 2 nights in a king room that included breakfast (which I didn’t try), a $5 Starbucks gift card & choice of a couple events (so I chose one world trade & the wax museum). Didn’t know those items were included, so bonus! My room was nice; solid hotel room in nyc for the price. Bed was comfortable but I hated the pillows - all flat. In room safe, shower pressure was good. Gym is fairly well equipped. I would stay at this hotel again. It needs a little attention in terms of broken drawers & the toilet handle falling off, but it was a fine stay for location & price in NYC.

I've stayed here four times in the past few years, in one of the newer rooms. Post-Covid, this hotel has gone downhill. It’s all DIY. For example: The blonde lady who worked the concierge over the weekend last Fall (Nov. 2021) doesn’t even care about her job. She looks at you like you’re an idiot. She wasn’t even familiar with the Met. Room maintenance has gone downhill. Bathroom was not cleaned well. They are understaffed, overworked, and compromising Westin standards.

We stayed at the Westin Times Square for a long weekend! It was perfect! We had a corner room on 11th floor which afforded nice views. King sized bed and great pillows were much appreciated after traversing the city! In room Keurig, nice desk area , and charging stations were appreciated. Breakfast is served on lower level- yum. Foundry bar on 2nd floor was a great place to unwind after a show. Easy access to Time Square, TKTS, and multiple theaters. Subway was around the corner. Concierge service was spot on ( loved Chez Josephine recommendation)! We will be back!
