Everything was fine except for 2 small complaints: there was no complimentary bottled water in the room, and there were no plastic bags in the closet. Every hotel we have stayed at has provided these two items.

Facility was nice and amenities such as shower head, sink, bed and furniture were super. Walls must be thin though as neighbors music until 12:30AM and conversations at 4AM were very disturbing! When checking in there was a long line and only two people working desk. Preferred customers (SPG) were waited on first so other guests were left waiting for...

Without being too negative, just realistic, despite it's great location right at Times Square and forgetting that accommodation in NYC is cramped, the property was average (despite the price). The room did the job in terms of having a place to rest our heads and the beds were ok, it felt a bit dirty and was desperately under-stocked (we had...

Best time of year to be in NYC. Absolutely magical with usually nice weather, amazing decorations and loads of crowds all generally in a good pre XMAS mood! Stores are all decorated some good sales and great opportunities to go shows and get great meals.

The room was spectacular. I had a corner room with windows on both walls. The bed was very comfortable and the Wi-Fi speed was pretty good. The room was immaculate and very comfy. The concierge was very helpful as well. I would definitely stay here again.

Four women sharing a room... enough said, right? But, actually we had plenty of room and space and enjoyed a great value in NYC! The Westin is luxury hotel in a great location! I've stayed right on Broadway in some very nice hotels, but enjoyed the "less hectic" walk on 8th street, and the easy access to subway, cabs, and...

Very nice hotel and great service . We were initially given a SPG preferred room on a lower floor but we were not told it was two fulls instead of the king bed we reserved . We called down and the agent said there were no rooms available until the following night , so we asked the manager to arrange...

Hotel was clean! Bathroom was gorgeous and large. Great location one block off from Times Square. Fairly quiet. Only heard sirens occasionally, but hey it is New York City. Wonderful staff from front desk to housekeeping.

Starwood is my go-to choice when it comes to lodging. Each of their brands, whether Sheraton, Westin, the W are reliably consistent in delivering the kind if experience I expect when I stay, whether it's for business or for personal travel.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

“We were initially given a SPG preferred room on a lower floor but were not told it was two fulls instead of the king we reserved . We called down and the agent said there were no rooms available until the following night , so we asked the manager to arrange for us to move to the Westin Grand Central where we stayed last year. Apparently a nicer room opened up as he found us a higher floor with a king bed . We were very pleased with the outcome ”
