Last minute trip to NY required a hotel that was decently priced but also located near everything we wanted to do. Rooms were small (to be expected when in NYC) but they were clean and the beds were comfortable. Location was everything, you're within a 20 minute walk of many of the major attractions. Staff was friendly and allowed for an early check-in and also a late check-out.

Bit of a walk from Times square itself. Room quite nice. But needs bit spending on it- some of the electrics didnt work, hairdryer didnt work, no coffee machine in reception, no coffee facilities in room (no cups either!). only 1 man on reception- were huge queues at times!
why oh why do hotels scrimp, when it just leaves a bad taste in mouth?

Great location and friendly staff. Booked through Hotwire which indicated that breakfast was included. It was not. Coffee machine in lobby was broken the entire stay. No housekeeping service even when we requested it after our 2nd night. No chairs in the room. That was weird. Quiet room on 7th floor. Roomy enough and plenty of good towels and pillows. Due to location and price I would recommend for a NYC stay when you are basically in the room to sleep and dress. Great coffee shop down the street. MATTO. Better coffee and food than Starbucks and half the price.

Breakfast announced as cancelled upon our arrival , due to pandemic, but refund was refused due to economic probably and strictly no solution or compensation offered apart from surprising hostility.
Heating system failure in room and although this was known, no action was taken which is pretty outrageous early February in NY!! We had some cold nights!!!
Little explanation if any was ever given and an overall run-down hotel feel was the one sorry memory that could have ruined our Manhattan stay.
Luckily we spent very little time there!!

This is an old hotel that is newly renovated and the beds were very comfortable. There is nothing plush (no restaurant or bar), but the location is literally perfect for sightseeing in mid-town. I needed to print something and their printer wasn't working. The front desk person was so helpful and printed it for me. Very helpful!

This hotel is outdated and felt it thanks to worn flooring and stains. The Sikh guy on the desk couldn’t have been slower or more unfriendly and unhelpful had he been trying to win a prize in these characteristics.
The first room we had, 301, had a window that looked out into blackness in the middle of the day. We asked to be swapped and were moved to a better room, better in that it had a window that let in daylight! The safe didn’t work properly but the guy who came to ‘fix’ it couldn’t understand what we were telling him, that it worked only intermittently. He kept locking it then when it wouldn’t open, he used his master key and then told us there was nothing wrong with it! After a couple of times when it wouldn’t open after several tries we took to carrying our cash and passports with us everywhere.
All in all the only thing this place has going for it is that it’s close to Times Square but after experiencing the crazies who hang out there, I’d recommend a quieter area.

The hotel is dated. I could live with that as we only stayed in and slept a few hours for each day. (THANK GOODNESS)My main issue was that fact I was checked into a room with no view, a running toilet and a rusty bathtub. The issue was never resolved and they wanted to paint over the rust. We were never given compensation or offered to move even after a move was requested. My friends had unpacked and we decided to tough it out. It’s sad that we paid so much money to stay in a room with a rusty tub that’s painted over, no amenities and no staff interaction. I’m a resort GSM so I know service standards and service recovery. This hotel does not.

While our room had no view, it had 2 comfortable beds, a dresser, closet, safe, cable TV, working AC and bathroom. Plenty of towels and room was clean. Staff was attentive and provided towels when requested. Coffee machine downstairs was perfect and always stocked. The location was perfect. Close to Times Square and subway. All one block away. Restaurants were ideal.

There is a fridge and microwave in the room as for the breakfast i believe there do like a continental style but it wasn't open when i was there in December 2021
we stayed in feb 2020 and even though it did not state on our booking that it was room only when we got there we found breakfast (continental) was included
I am sorry I don't have any suggestions for you. When we stayed there last Dec., I was a little disappointed in the service at the front desk and vowed to never stay there again. I have read more than once on different travel sites that if you made the reservation with the hotel directly, they are more accommodating. However, I would try calling them, as it is harder to ignore someone on the phone.
