Room was ok for one night, not a city view as booked. The door and wall to bathroom are see through, no privacy, very odd, its like it was installed backwards. Had gone back to room for a jacket and to unpack after lunch. We heard a knock on door, no one announced themselves so we assumed was wrong door. There was another knock, we again didn't answer or say anything, assumed person would leave. Next thing we heard were keys and our door opening. The staff member was as surprised to see us as we were to have someone unlock our room without announcing themselves. She tried to cover it up with wanting to make sure we had the flier for room service (yep one was already on the door to the glasses). Totally felt like she was casing the room, why else do you not announce yourself or unlock an occupied room that had just checked in a few hours earlier! Reported to management, she was great, was very well trained on how to handle the situation. I really hope this was addressed, I wouldn't want other guests to experience the same and feel unsafe leaving their room or being in their room.

Firstly, I only booked the room and didn't include breakfast, lunch, or dinner so my review is solely based on the room. The room was nice and big for 3 people. One thing which I didn't like was lightning, there were hardly any lights. We had to turn on the bedside lamps and lamps around the room in order to light up the room. This wasn't efficient as the lights didn't light up the whole room. Besides this, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom arrangements were aesthetically pleasing, and the chairs and sofa beds were comfortable.

This hotel is not cheap but it could not be more centrally located. Broadway Theatres are literally a step away. Fifth Avenue and the fabulous shopping is easy walking difference. It’s a little unusual in that check in is not on the ground floor but the staff were extremely helpful at all time. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom very high class, so much so I took photos to show my family. I only used the bar out of the available facilities but the cocktail was generous and delicious (pineapple base) and the staff were attentive without being overwhelming. If I had a special occasion or business I would definitely stay here but for regular holiday visits I would go a little more downmarket.

I was fairly satisfied staying here. I had a corner room on the 54th floor. The rooms are not small, but not huge. The bathrooms are small, it’s only a shower. Great Momo bath products Excellent bed with amazing pillows! The elevators were very fast And I was on the 54th floor. Although in the last day, the elevators did not work properly for quite some time. I am a platinum bonbon member, and part of the perk is breakfast, which is a somewhat underwhelming, continental breakfast. Other than that, I was satisfied with my stay, and if the price is right, I would consider staying there again.

My girlfriend and I stayed here in a cozy corner room on the 40th floor between Dec 28th - Jan 4th to bring in the New Year the right way and see Times Square up close. When we arrived there was someone there to greet us and take our bags up to the lobby and our room which we were very happy to accept. The staff was more than friendly and the room itself was fantastic other than some key aspects I’ll get into a second. The view from our corner room was absolutely fantastic which I’ve provided photos of, and the fact I could open my window even just a little bit was a very amazing surprise as i haven’t been able to for a very long time! I was extremely happy i got to open my window a bit and hear everyone in time square counting down the new year while also seeing it from one of our windows! Now for the two things I took issue with. 1. Bathroom Privacy!!! I don’t even know where to start. The walls and door are made out of a frosted glass that when combined with the bathrooms size allows for the silhouette of the person inside to be clearly seen to an uncomfortable degree unless you’re inside the shower or very close to it. Additionally there’s little to no sound proofing or smell proofing which wouldn’t have been as big of a deal if the bathroom had a vent/fan we could turn on. This was a huge issue for my girlfriend who had to go all the way down to the fitness room just to do more serious business. This absolutely needs to be address before i feel comfortable adding another star to the review. 2. No streaming! I understand that I’m fairly young and shouldn’t except streaming services to be provided at every hotel I stay at. However, when I’m paying this much and Marriott itself is partnered with Netflix, one can’t be blamed for expecting it to some degree, especially since every hotel I’ve been too in the last couple of years has managed to figure that out no issue. Why this isn’t one of the many Marriotts that feature Netflix, I’ll never know. Other than those two key things, our stay was absolutely fantastic. If those issues were addressed I couldn’t imagine rating my stay any less than 5 star. But as it stands, 3/5.

We have stayed at this property numerous times, but this last time was exceptional because of Ilaria's service at the front desk. She really made my check-in process 5 star quality. I am an ambassador with Marriott Bonvoy. Ilaria went above and beyond getting us into the suite and wishing me a happy birthday. I have recommended the W Times Square once again to family and colleagues because of the service from Ilaria. A refresh of the rooms is needed especially after staying at the W Philadelphia. Another thing to note is the breakfast restaurant has little to be desired. Dreadful staff make it a fail all together. The elite member breakfast is a croissant, yogurt, and boxed cereal. The W's elsewhere offer delicious breakfast all around with courteous service!

The hotel needs some renovation but it is located in a great spot (noisy though) and offers very good services. The bathroom flip flops were not in the room and immediately provided. The bar is very glam and worth a visit. We had food at the Mexican restaurant “dos casinos” and enjoyed a very friendly service and freshly made guacamole served in a giant stone bowl.

We booked this trip as a 30th birthday and honeymoon. We arrived at the hotel and checking in was smooth and staff were lovely. However, when we got to our room, the room was very tired, holes in the carpet, stains on the wall and stains on the blinds. We made reception aware who kindly moved our room, only to find the next room was exactly the same with holes also in furniture. We went back to reception who agreed the room/stay was not worth the $2,000 we had paid. They moved us to a 3rd room and stated all rooms would be in the same state. Which was correct because the heating in the 3rd room was not working. We made reception aware, who had an engineer take a look but the problem persisted until we checked out. The $25 a day W hotel tax was an unwelcome surprise and an additional cost bearing in mind this was on top of the usual New York hotel tax. We were really looking forward to this trip but the hotel really did dampen our New York experience. We have reached out to W hotel about our experience but still waiting on a reply. Based on this I would not book with W hotel again.

It’s hard to write this review and not think of the great times we had at this hotel, and other Marriott- Bonvoy properties… until yesterday. Never in my life have I been treated in a humiliating, harrasing, bullying tone in my life. Shame on the manager on duty Brian, shame on the security office. I was told to pick up my house keys that were taken out my vehicle at the parking garage upon arriving at the office I was approached in a hostile way, and continued to be subject to a harrasing, demeaning one way conversation by the security guard who clearly has issues. I called 911 I gave my statement and have a record. I was told to contact corporate and I did and a civil attorney. No one needs to be treated in a harassment tone ever! Shame on the management for not acknowledging our state of shock.

We woke up to find a bug on the pillow I just had my head on! We immediately grabbed it with a tissue, put it in the sink to take a photo and took it in a glass to the lobby desk. The desk clerk took the glass somewhere in the back and came back only to offer me 5,000 points for my trouble! When I said no that is ridiculous he brought out the manager on duty who offered to escalate the matter- I told them I wanted my one night stay refunded. When I returned to my room the manager called with in minutes offering to increase the point return to 10,000 and had the audacity to say the property would have to investigate if the bug came from there! Are you serious Marriott!! As a titanium elite and loyal Bonvoy member I have never been so disrespected! Exactly what are you teaching your managers to do in this situation other than accuse loyal patrons! We also had black mold in the corner of the shower- do better!
