I think the phrase 'you get what you pay for' was created by someone staying somewhere like this, as it's exactly that, comfortable, but basic. Arriving at the front desk their was no 'welcome' just a rather uninterested check in, he wasn't rude, just seemed like he'd rather be doing anything else. The room itself was small, with a few... This is the worst hotel i have stayed in in all my years of hundreds of hotels in the entire world. Just read all the horror stories about this on other reviews and i agree with them all. The rooms what a joke. The staff , the rudest and MOST useless i have ever encountered. Dont be fooled with the... More

For the money this was a great hotel to stay in. The free breakfast had a good selection and was fresh and replenished quickly. The rooms were dated, but really who cares, you don't go to New York to sit in the room. The aircon worked well, so did the shower and the beds were very comfy so for the... More

The hotel itself was very basic but it had what you would need. A pretty ok breakfast as well. The staf was very nice and helpful! I would say it's a good hotel for that price, you get what you pay for:)

Stayed at this hotel for one night. Needed a hotel close to midtown with accesable parking. Stayed in a room with a kingsize bed, bed was comfortable and clean. Free wi-fi, nice AC and bathroom. Breakfast could have benen better. We parked our car in a garage next door for 47$ (discounted price through the hotel). 5 min walk to... More

It's super expensive and look like a horror movie. We asked for them to store our lugagge and they left in in the front desk's living room so anyone would steal anything. By the end of the day the front desk was virtually inaccesible with all people's lugagge. The room was the first part, it was gloomy, humid and very... More

The best quality of this hotel is its location near Hudson Yards (7) metro station. Rooms are small, the equipment quite old needs refreshment, a bad TV, the elevator out of service for 3 days, the room service absent for 1 day, the industrial breakfast except the wafles is not appetizing. The service at desk is OK but other people... More

Visited the hotel for 12 hours hardly. Nice hotel. Very friendly staff members. Hotel at a good location near about the Lincoln Tunnel and Megabus bus stop. The rooms are very small and i guess for the prices that they are charging, which is near about the same as other hotels around Manhattan. Looks like the rates are a bit... More

We spent 2 days in NYC and stayed at the Magnusen.Convention Center Hotel. It was the perfect spot for us, as it was close to Downtown Manhattan. Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
