I chose this hotel both because of its great location in Midtown (near all the key subway and bus lines) and because it had a great Tripadvisor Plus discount for my stay. It's really in a perfect location for exploring the city. We wandered up to Rockefeller Plaza by foot, hopped on the train to visit Chelsea and Brooklyn, hopped on the bus to visit the Met. The showers are excellent. The room itself was good, felt a little dated, but clean and comfortable. There was a lot of thumping bass noise from something going on in the park each night, and a lot of noise in general coming up from the street and the park through much of the night (they may have been doing some sort of filming or setup for the weekend concerts in the park, adding to the noise). The windows apparently don't keep out much of the noise, so we were kept awake by it more than expected. (I think the hotel tried to address it by having a white noise generator available in our room, but I'd rather they upgraded the windows.) The window blinds were also in poor shape and so we got a lot of light leaking in throughout the night. The noise and the light made for poor sleep, unfortunately. Our bed was surprisingly firm but we didn't have any problems with soreness from the firmness. Each side of the bed (in the junior suite) had 2 pillows that felt like different levels of softness, which worked well for us. The front desk staff was very kind and accommodating. Traveling during COVID sucks, even as the city is starting to repoen. There was no room service (they had complementary coffee and muffins in the morning) and they were only servicing the rooms every other day. I don't hold either of those against the hotel; I'm just looking forward to COVID being fully over someday.

Been staying here for years to celebrate wedding anniversaries. Used to reserve via Tablet and get fabulous upgrades, but hotel doesn't belong to Tablet any longer so paid full-fare for the Jr. Suite we usually end up in. Check-in was remarkably unremarkable...not particularly warm or welcoming front desk; very perfunctory and didn't improve when we came and went. No one opening the hotel door, so felt rather impersonal. Thankfully, Jr. Suite was on a high floor, with the usual wonderful high ceilings, and views. That's the positive. Not the hotel's fault, but VERY LOUD booming music echoed off the buildings around the park and killed any sort of romantic atmosphere until it finally ended around midnight (we heard sirens blipping around then which ended the party). In other words, if it is a lovely Fall/Spring/Summer night, be prepared that the street noise may be VERY audible even on a high floor. Furnishings seem a bit dated now...the leather accent pillows, for example were probably hip when they first appeared but now just seem kind of strange and certainly not something you would leave on the bed to lean against and relax. The mattress seemed to sag and pillows were flat and rather than sinking into them, were the opposite of comfortable. Rain shower style shower faucet on the other hand was great and Molton Brown toiletries appreciated. Will we stay again for our next anniversary? Not so sure.

Room Tip: Rooms without views in the back away from Bryant Park would be quieter in theory.

Had to come to NYC for business and found a great hotel located right across the street from Bryant Park. The room was very spacious and both John and Scott were very helpful at the front desk. I will definitely stay again at the Bryant Park Hotel next time I have to come back into the city

I have been wanting to stay at The Bryant Park Hotel Forever. 3 of our trips were cancelled during 2020 so I was so excited about finally being able to stay there. The experience from start to finish was beyond our expectations. The hotel is beautiful and we were very comfortable in our room. It was very spacious and the decor and feel of the room created a great environment. The location is perfect - Bryant Park at your front door, wonderful restaurants surrounding the hotel, subway a quick walk away, stores (Walgreens etc) conveniently close. Our favorite thing about The Bryant Park Hotel were the incredible employees though. From the booking to the check out, they made every interaction fun and personable. It was an instant connection with them. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay an experience - not just a few nights in a hotel. They made us feel like we were a part of their family. It really did feel like we were returning home at the end of each night. Our daughter is a freshman at NYU so we will be spending a lot of time in the city visiting her and we know that we have definitely found our home away from home with The Bryant Park Hotel. Thank You.

I recently stated at the hotel with my girlfriend for the weekend. The room was so nice and the bed was so comfortable. The view- across from Bryant Park and the Ice skating rink was so amazing. I also loved the Japanese Restaurant that was on the first floor. I would recommend anyone visiting NYC to stay here.
