Good hotel. nice location. Rooms not too big. Very nice service. Good bar and good breakfast service. Only downside was a toilet that did not work and after the third time I needed to switch room. Got a better room.

Stayed her for 2 nights with my 12 yr old son for his birthday weekend trip to New York. We booked a superior queen which was quite small (but most decent priced rooms in Manhattan are in my experience!) You could hear the street noise in the room but not enough to be a pain. The hotel is nicely done...

This was our second stay at the Hotel Chandler. On this trip like our previous one, the attention to detail is what makes staying here so enjoyable. From Marta G., who was the front desk person, (She remembered us from our previous visit) to the bellman who asked for the proper pronunciation of our name, and then made sure to...

My sister and I visited during our spring break. We wanted a hotel in Midtown that was walking distance from many of the places that we wanted to visit. The Chandler lived up to that! It is in a great location! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff did everything they could to make our stay even better. When...

It is a very nice hotel. It had a great location in the heart of Manhattan but what really stinks is the speed of the elevator. The rooms were okay size for NYC. Overall, we had a good stay for a week.

Dear Rex2003, Thank you so much for your lovely review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay at The Chandler. I am sorry you found our elevators slow. I will certainly address the issue to our head engineering. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back again soon. Sincerely, Gilles Rebmann General Manager

We were a party of 12 and the staff at the Chandler were always helpfull. We would like to specially mention a girl at the front desk, Susan, always smiling and providing help. If I had to mention something to improve I would say the elevators, sometimes too slow, but we were on vacation, so who cares!!!!!

Hotel Chandler is well situated and offered us plenty of space to relax in after a day of walking around the city. It is next to a huge building site for the next couple of years, so if sleeping in is part of your plan for experiencing NYC, you might have better options (work starts before 7:00am). It didn't bother...

While the staff at this hotel is excellent, the rooms are too small for the prices being charged. We paid extra for a "double double room" which was being touted by the hotel as a two double beds with extra room for the two that needs more room. There was also supposed to be two chairs and a coffee table....

Overall this hotel is a great choice for location, staff is very pleasant and the room was clean but a bit small for two beds, also furniture is a bit outdated. Service was good as they knock your door in the evenings checking out if you need anything

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
