I am very disappointed with my stay and relieved it was only for 2 nights. I understand the pandemic restrictions have made things difficult but this hotel is falling apart. Beware that you must enter through a service entrance decorated with caution tape and tinfoil inside like they used to push dumpsters through it, completely lacking in any ambiance. The elevators were broken and didn’t come when they were called and smelled like pee. Entering our room the smell was horrible and it was so dark and tiny. My partner who is 6 feet tall could not sit on the toilet you literally have to walk sideways the entire time in the room. The air conditioning was clearly broken too as it was so hot and then suddenly in the morning it was freezing cold. I could hear every single word from the neighbors across the hall...you would think during a pandemic they could spread people out a bit. Not to mention everywhere you look things are broken and falling apart and the paint was peeling absolutely all over the hotel. The only positive was the location was very convenient but I actively tried to avoid my room because it made me so sad!! Do not stay here unless you want to be reminded of your college dorm room.

Upon arrival the security checked our temperature which we appreciated during this time of covid-19. We requested a special room and got it! lt was a clean room and has hardwood floors. The hotel is Near the subway, Wholefoods, central park, Nordstrom, Apple, Restaurants, Starbucks, parking garage, nail salon, CVS, liquar store, post office and shoe repair. We use all of these services. We feel at home here.

What a great experience at Hudson Hotel. I have been doing weekend trips across the east coast and this time I decided to visit NYC. I booked online and saw a mix of good and not so good reviews. I decided to give it a go and I must say, I was very impressed. One thing to keep in mind is that we are still living through the pandemic so I came in knowing that perhaps all of the services will not be available. When I walked in to the hotel the only downfall was the main entrance which was closed but there was a sign pointing to another door which looked like a 90's club entrance. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a security personnel and my temperature was immediately taken. The guard at the desk called the front desk to verify my booking and I was directed to the front desk to check in (I felt very secured). Half way down I saw this huge machine displayed behind a glass door. I learned that it is a UV machine which is used to disinfect your room prior to check in, as soon as I saw this I knew I made the right choice. At check in I was greeted and immediately given my keys to the room. When I arrived to the 7th floor the halway seemed a bit shabby and dark for my taste. Upon entering my room I immediately felt right at home. The room was small but since it is only a weekend I made it work. The room is only serviced once but you can request towels or anything you need if you call the front desk. The location was very convenient as it is located near central park. Plenty of restaurants as you walk out from the hotel. I was able to walk down to times square, take the train to Brooklyn and walk the bridge, sit and dine outside and snap of few pictures. Overall my weekend experience was great and my stay at Hudson Hotel was very convenient given my short trip and location. The day of check out I saw a flyer right under my door offering to book another night for 50% off, I find this to be a great gesture but I could not take advantage of this deal because I had to make it back home. It was a great weekend, I bet it would have been nice have the hotel with all it amenities available but I understand we are living in such a strange time. Will recommend to anyone.

Thank you for your review! We are happy that you had an amazing weekend trip to NYC and that you stayed with us. We certainly appreciate your business and look forward to you stay next time in the city. We strive to ensure that all our guest feel comfortable and right at home when they come to stay with us. The UV machine you saw we place in all our guest rooms and common areas. This is one of the many methods we use to combat germs and virus such as COVID. The machine was placed in your room prior to your check so that when you come in to your room you have the peace of knowing your room is germ free. Thank you for your review and your business, looking forward to your next stay.
