Where to begin... This place looks fine from the lobby but the rooms leave much to be desired. Our room hadn't been dusted in ages, the desk was sticky and the chair was stained. The bathroom sink faucet sprayed water everywhere, the toilet paper sits in a cubby hole (no holder), and what few towels they provide are old and... More

This hotel is a basic hotel with wonderful staff who can't do enough for you. The rooms are ok but with a little updating this hotel could be great. We had a street view and no problem with noise.Good location for Grand Central Station and for buses to airports.

Booked a junior suite at the Dylan. Room was large but not well appointed with a very small bathroom with poor counter space. No convenient outlets on the desk. Room rather old and tired. Breakfast room windowless and not very appealing. Rooms was very quiet which was a plus. I expected much more form a well known boutique hotel.

I booked this hotel for the location given it's proximity to Grand Central, Times Square, Bryant Park, 5th Avenue and more - in that respect I wasn't disappointed - very well located indeed! That said however, for the price I was not impressed with the room at all - there were stains on furniture, carpet, dilapidated bathroom and the room... More

Good value and good location, customer service is great, all the staff members are very accommodating and helpful and made our stay very special with a lot of details. Brian and Fatima were superrrrr! They must do something with the quality of the towels and bed sheets, we were 4 adults in the room and we had not enough towels... More

What you win on location and value for money, you lose on the quality of the room. The carpet was well worn and it was a bit alarming to see the spaghetti of extension cords and electric tape that haphazardly provided power to the various lights, only some of which functioned. TV reception was unreliable. Had to buy a candle... More

We took my nephew and his wife to NYC for some sightseeing and theater on June 1st and wanted to stay overnight. We did not want to pay a fortune for the hotel so I found the Dylan. It was in close proximity to Grand Central Station(one block south). The Dylan was walkable to Time Square, Empire State Building and... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Eurostars Dylan Hotel, hotel in Manhattan, unites tradition and modernity exquisitely and with a contemporary elegance that captivates our guests. The building is very emblematic, first having been the residence of the Welsh writer, Dylan Thomas and later, the headquarters of the New York Pharmacists Club. The Eurostars Dylan Hotel combines the classical lounges and guest rooms of the period with ambiances and areas in contemporary design. We are a non-stop hotel, because the Big Apple never stops. For this reason, the gym and the Business Centre are open 24 hours a day. ... more   less
