This hotel is def not cheap --- but you are in the heart of everything at the edge of the theater district !!! The breakfast is very good ( if NYC prices) and the bar is wonderful. The rooms are not large but they are adequate and if you are REMOTELY familiar with NYC, unless you are a gazillionaire you are delusional if you are expecting spaciousness in an NYC hotel room !! But this is all sort of beside the point. The point here is the STAFF. These people cannot be nicer.. they printed buttloads of pages of work for me that would have cost me $$$$$ to walk to Fed Ex Kinko's Office to do it .. they checked me in super fast.. they got people to help with luggage and my trip tot he airport at lightening speed ... There is no superlative too effusive to describe how amazing the peeps who work at this hotel are !! I am def going back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The hotel is a block from Times Square in the heart of the theater district. The rooms are very clean. The room was smaller than expected based on other Kimptons locations. That said - it is a boutique hotel in the heart of NYC. The breakfast buffet was perfect. I was so appreciative of the staff - they are wonderful. Exspecially the concierge Barbara. She is a gem!!!

Kimpton hotels are our first choice in any American city, we love the brand. Sadly The Muse did not really live up to the usual high standards. Unfortunately the staff were very off hand and generally not very helpful, or at times the front desk wasn't manned at all. The bedroom was large and well appointed, but for some reason the bottom sheet was too small for the bed which didn't make for a good night's sleep. This is a personal thing, but selling the environmentally unfriendly Fiji water in the bedroom seemed wrong. The breakfast offering was limited. All that said, it is in a great location for exploring Manhattan.

This Kimpton property used to live up to the brand. It’s a good location in Midtown. The staff is fabulous. They used to have a restaurant Nios that was okay to good. Now, it is billed as the Muse Bar. The bar services stops fairly early in spite of the fact that hotel guests are still there! They no longer serve breakfast but a continental breakfast. It has modest offerings (must be what they serve at a Holdiay Inn since they are owned by IHG now.). I have stayed at Hampton Inns that have better breakfasts! We were there for 4 nights. The yogurt/granola/fruit served each day had the same fruit that co it used to decline in freshness each day. Lots of pastries. Limited healthy options. We are very disappointed in this change. The staff is not happy about it either. I guess this is what IHG offers. It’s not what I expect from a Kimpton. I’ve stayed here many times but I am not sure that we would stay here again or recommend it. Perhaps I’ll check out the Sanctuary Hotel across the street.

Whenever we want to stay in midtown, The Muse is our go-to hotel. My kids love the lobby restroom theme. Very clean and the expected Kimpton vibe. Excellent location. Turn left out the front doors onto 46th Street and you’re a block from Times Square; turn right, you’re at 6th Avenue and avoiding the Times Square insanity. The subway entrance is a block away. Everything you can want is within walking distance. Hotel staff is friendly. Most rooms are spacious. We’ve never had an issue with noise from neighbors. Become an IHG member for free and speedy Wi-Fi and your $15 Raid the (mini) Bar coupon. I hate to pay for parking. If I have to, I’ll use the SpotHero app. I can always find a free spot near Central Park West or Columbus anywhere from 65-75. When we come with our dog, he receives the Kimpton welcomed. Be aware the closest green space is 4 blocks away at Bryant Park. Central Park South is about a 20-minute walk.
