I stayed at the Dream Downtown for 8 days in early May 2022. Service was great. The room is standard size for Manhattan, with good mattress and nice shower. I didn't have issues with noise from the club (stayed on the 4th floor). What made this stay five stars was definitely Chris Budhu, the Director Of Front Office who went above and beyond on any requests. I definitely recommend this hotel, and I'm looking forward to staying there again.
If you plan to stay on a Thursday night, switch hotels. I understand that this hotel is a “scene” but the music thumped until 5:30am Friday. Forget sleep. The mattress felt like cardboard. The sheets like burlap. Halls/common areas filthy.
The only positive comments I can make are the front desk staff, especially Maria, were incredible. There is an inroom safe. The lobby is very well appointed. Oh but you do not stay in the lobby so here’s the deal on the rooms. The platform bed is very low and hard. The side tables are small with no drawers. There are no hooks in the bathroom. The is no heat/air option on the thermostat. If you sent the temperature to 68 and the room gets cold and you adjust the temperature to 70, the heat goes on!! There are no coffee makers in the room (there is a bar however) and no room service no free coffee in the lobby. You must get coffee from the restaurant which is $3. The chair in the room was so low to the floor, it was difficult to get up. The room overhead lighting is extremely dim. The location is not great. It is near Chelsea market but no other shopping. The subway is just down the street. The nightclub folks are out on the street making noise until the wee hours of the morning. I would never stay here again.…
After spending all day in airports and a flight delay to accommodate me missing my connecting flight I had the pleasure of a free room. Downtown Manhattan didn’t get to explore much room was minimalistic with a modern feel no USBs which would have been nice, bed was low to the floor and bathroom had a massive tub.
A different and memorable hotel, unique design to say the least. Lobby and lobby bar look great, very cool design. Room really needed an upgrade. Very worn rug, bathroom had nowhere to put toiletries (my wife said "this was definitely designed by a man"), and the light switches may have been hip but were maddening, impossible to find out what switch controled what light. Definitely a party hotel, the club on the rooftop is pretty cool, patrons trying to be cool (ha). Overall a decent stay, but definitely not more than a 3.5 star hotel
The Hotel is like a frat house, loud and uncomfortable. Staying on the fourth floor we were far from the action, however the music shook the walls until 1 am when we were finally able to fall asleep. Then they start vacuuming the halls at 9 am to walk up the guests that partied until 4 am. The actual hotel room is beautiful, however completely unfuctional. There is a hole in the bathroom door that looks directly onto the toilet, no washcloths, and a mental shower curtain we couldn't close. No iPhone 12/13 USB and a minibar with full size liquor bottles, however not one bottle of water. The experience was honestly exhausting. On another note, the hotel posed a danger for guests, as I took the stairs out entire stay which was riddles with broken glasses, old food trays, cleaning equipment and dead roaches.…
This hotel is a scam, and the doormen are hustlers and are quite rude when you don't allow them to park your cars on the street, theres literally a garage right across the street. I will not be staying there anymore !!!! This is a disgrace, I forget the young mans name i believe it was Megan or Meglin about 5'9 hispanic decent such a rude young man, when i didn't have cash to tip he basically rolled his eyes at me unbelievable stay away from that place if you have any sense.
When traveling to NYC, I always stay at the Dream Downtown. Not only is the location prime & around the best restaurants. Their staff is super accommodating and friendly. Daniel Perez the manager is sweet and makes coming back to the dream much more enticing.
First and foremost my wife and I would like to Thank the G.M. at The Dream Hotel Mr. Raymond Wong. Mr. Wong and his amazing staff went above and beyond to welcome my wife and I at their beautiful hotel from Dec.30th-Jan.2nd. The hotel is spectacular from top to bottom: We stayed in a beautiful Silver King Balcony room overlooking 16th street and can't wait to go back in April of this year for the Phish shows ;) The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, very clean/ spotless, the staff is very welcoming, very kind and always willing to help. You can't ask for a better location within the city, Chelsea is amazing!!! We will not stay anywhere else when we visit NYC , The Dream Hotel is the place to stay. Thank You to Dream Downtown for your hospitality, your professionalism and for just being YOU!! P.S.= those shower heads in the rooms are amazing, was like standing in a waterfall!!! See Ya'll April 21st-24th…
We stayed at the Dream Hotel downtown, and our stay was perfection! The room was stunning, with 7 windows, and a view of the Manhattan skyline that was beyond compare! It had a huge bathroom and was very clean and well laid out. The best part was the staff. They are SO incredibly kind and helpful, and they went out of their way to make our stay amazing! Highly recommended!
