Cons - staff at checkin was extremely rude and gave no instructions about the hotel. No details were shared about wifi, pool, bar area hours, food, amenities, check out time, house keeping, etc. nothing. We didn’t get so much as a smile or hello, just a “your name?” - there were no water bottles in the room upon arrival - The room was not well kept. There were dents on furniture and walls, stains on furniture. Generally, furniture and decor was outdated and felt cheap. - Definitely a party hotel, there was used glassware up and down the hallways morning and night - We called the front desk 3 times for ear plugs and waited 45 min and got nothing. The 4th time we called the receptionist was super rude stating “we sent them up a long time ago”. - The audio and lighting in this room is horrible. There are no reading lights by bed. The only option if you want to read at night are the the full blown overhead lights. The sound from the TV oddly plays in the bathroom??? - there were only 2 towels for us in a room that was sleeping 4 so we had to call to request more sets - there were No smart plus and the outlets were very inconveniently placed - there were Hairs on the bed upon arrival and under the sheets - the Shower is see through. if someone is showering you can see them through the bedroom. Not a good hotel if you’re staying and sharing the room with people you don’t want to see you naked. - If the bathroom light is on, the whole hotel room lights up so if someone is trying to sleep while another is in the bathroom, it’s impossible. - there is a weird Peep hole in the bathroom door (basically a hole where the handle should be) so there’s no privacy - they run Test alarms in the middle of the day with No notice at check in - there is No information in room on hotel amenities or instructions - the shower has a Shower curtain which billows and sticks to your body when showering Positives - Rooms were massive by NYC standards - Housekeeping staff was friendly - Water bottles were re stocked in our room daily at no charge once requested - One front desk gentleman was lovely. We asked to borrow a pen and he was nice. Can’t be said for any other staff we interacted with.

My friend and I had a fabulous moms' weekend out at the Dream Hotel in Chelsea. It was such a lovely, relaxing experience. We're from Brooklyn, so it wasn't a far trip, but it definitely felt like we were transported to a different world for the weekend! The room was beautiful, the hotel staff was great, and having a club right on the roof was a plus!!

Would NOT recommend staying here. Was told one thing and received a different experience altogether. Not mention that this hotel is run down and old and should be gutted and redone. The staff was nice, but they promised things (e.g., free access to the club, upgraded rooms, etc.), but not only didn't deliver on them, but charged for club access and downgraded the room (for the same price). The staff also did not know what features/amenities the hotel had - asked for a business center (as it stated on the website) and was told that we could email them our files and they could print it out at the front desk. Asked for a meeting room (as stated on the website) and was told they did not have any (manager later confirmed that they do have meeting rooms and that they are available). Was told we would get premium Wifi, instead we received standard wifi that cut out or did not work for long periods of time.

Overall the location was great. The hotel is walking distance from some great restaurants. On the weekends the lobby and front of hotel can be crowded as people are trying to go to the club that is located in the hotel. The quality of the rooms are lacking as well as the customer service.

This hotel is trying to be both a nightclub and a hotel. If you expect to sleep, do not stay here. The quality of the rooms is terrible. Lumpy pillows, aged bedding, horrible lighting, no tv remotes or drinking glasses and a staff that is numb to the obviously persistent complaints.

Definitely not a hotel to stay at for any sort of quiet. Getting to elevators on Friday and Saturday took over 10 minutes as crowds going to club take up all the space. Non-working toilet. Super Loud.

Let me start by saying that the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The view from the room was exceptional. The room and bathroom were poorly lit. Could hardly see it was so dark. The biggest complaint is from the dance club noise which started around 9:00pm and didn't stop until 4:00am. The whole building was reverberating from the beat of the music. Did not help in getting a good night's sleep.

Hotel didn’t have any facilities it took responsibility for. You could only sit by the pool until 10.30am then after that you had to pay up to $300 to sit on a lounger so if you didn’t you had to sit on the floor whilst ‘reserved’ loungers stayed empty all day. The hotel had a club on roof so at night the hotel and outside the hotel becomes a nightclub. the noise is so bad it kept me awake all my last night and I was only on the 8th floor. There were other floors in between me and the club on the roof. I am looking for a refund for my last night as it was dreadful. It’s just all cold and far too trendy for its own good. Great location but that is the only thing going for it. Do not book unless you want to use the club or sleep in a night club.

If you want to get zero sleep because of noise from the hotel nightclub (think pounding base vibrating through the bedroom) then this is the place for you. Otherwise the rooms are an ok size and have basic functions but really nothing special. The facilities of the hotel all seem to be operated as independent businesses - a couple of hundred dollars for a pool chair for the day is egregious at best. The only thing going for it is location

Terrible experience....my room smelled like smoke for two days straight. Management told me they would take care of the issue and were not able to find a solution (person who was previously smoking cigarettes continued to do with no regard for management). I was then told that I would be eligible (a) move to another room (I had already paid for a pool access one and their offer didn't include this) or (b) change hotels and be refunded for the remainder of my stay. They have now refused to refund me the remaining stay after being told by the manager that I would be eligible. Would avoid this place as they do not care about you as a guest and do not honor their refunds.
