There is nothing bad that I would say about this hotel! This was a such an amazing place, clean, quiet, open to NYC and well "distanced" from every important place in NYC! This hotel beat-up a lots of 5* places in NEW YRK

This was my first time at the Lex48. The front desk was very helpful. The location is great for business as it is close to Grand Central Station and many of the bank offices. Room was clean. And it was great having WiFi that works and comes with the room. Overall it was a great place to stay and I... More

After three day stay: towels had paint and caulk on them no replenishment of shampoo and soap no newspaper delivered...three days in a row after repeated requests No longer run by Hyatt...it shows...too many other excellent options in this market.

I was blown away by the property, the staff, and the quality of the experience afforded for a reasonable weekend rate. The property itself is first rate. The criticisms noted elsewhere in these reviews seemed petty or inaccurate regarding our stay. Two elevators are occasionally too few for maximum service, but the elevators themselves are speedy and quiet. This is... More

Great hotel overall. The front desk and bellman are all extremley accommodating. Housekeeping is as well. The rooms are very upscale and modern. The room we had had an okay view.. Nothing special and the in room bar was over priced (as for any in room amenities in any hotel). We did not use any of there food and beverage... More

I like to find boutique hotels with good amenities and larger rooms and this totally fit the bill. Additionally, the wine in the evening and the cappuccino in the morning was a real nice touch. Saved a lot of money both on the value of the room as well as the wine/cheese/pastries/coffee.

We have stayed at this hotel before. It used to be a Hyatt, and is now independent, but offers all the same amenities. The rooms are small - ish, but decent for Manhattan. Eveything else in the room is great. Microwave, mini bar, good wine selection, none of which we used, but it was there. Staff is friendly and helpful.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
