Our flight was delayed, so we ended up arriving very late, and felt a little uneasy on the metro, but I'm sure there was no reason to be. Directions to the property were clear, and we got in fine using the supplied codes. It was a long climb up several flights of stairs to reach our room, but lovely and... More

We were convinced we had been given the wrong room, because the room was far more beautiful and luxurious than we expected for the (reasonable) price! Loved our stay here and loved how close it was to a subway stop. Felt really safe when on the road the property was on, but not as safe walking to and from the... More

First visit to New York and wanted to do it as cheaply as we could. Mont Morris was a perfect part of that. We were in Room 91 and it was huge (there was 3 of us). Loved the decorations and the fact we had a fridge and a kitchen area meant that we were able to have and make... More

It's clean, quiet and in easy commute of central New York. I'd stay there again if I was planning to go out sightseeing every day, which is what I did when I was there. If I was staying with children or a partner I might prefer a hotel with more facilities. There are places to eat for breakfast lunch and... More

First and foremost this place only accepts cash as payment, I did not know this coming into this place until I was checking out. It states this in small fine print when receiving your INT. This caused me to waste 3 hours running around town looking for my bank which is only one in NYC. As for the room it... More

I've never stayed anywhere quite like this. Entry via a coded keypad, with no-one around at any time to receive you and a one hour window to pay and speak to a member of staff. Room adequate but tired and minimally equipped (sofa had no cushions and so impossibly uncomfortable to sit on). Bedroom JUST about big enough to fit... More
