I stay often at the Hyatt Herald Square - it never disappoints me. The rooms are outstanding for a NYC hotel; good location near Penn Station, Herald Square, and Empire State Building. Outstanding staff members (including Kaylin Reid) - as I am also welcomed quickly and never have an issue with my room. If you're looking for a mid-town location,... More

Stayed here 3 weeks ago and again last weekend. After our first stay we couldn't have been happier with the staff and services. After looking long and hard for a different hotel in Manhattan we decided we couldn't get a better deal and stayed again. As with our first stay we were blown away by the friendliest staff in NY.... We stayed at the Hyatt for 3 nights. When we arrived to the hotel, the person at the front desk greeted us, he was very friendly and accommodating. I asked him if it was possible to get a room with a view and he was very kind to get us one with the Empire State Building. The hotel is located... More

A newer hotel with furnishings that feel so. Well organized king room for NYC room sizes. Clean and comfortable, though extremely drafty. Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, giving greetings and offers of assistance anytime I saw someone. I will stay here again, even if it requires an extra few blocks walk from my next meeting location. Note that on... More

The location of this hotel was perfect for restaurants, subway, Penn Station, the High Line. The staff, from the front desk to the waiters were fabulous. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. Thank you to the wonderful concierge, Sarah!!!!!!!

Hotel rooms were newly updated and comfortable. Only issue is the at the rooms are very small. Even by NYC standards. If you need only for 1 or 2 nights, worth it. Staff was very helpful and went out of their way to be friendly. Bar area was comfortable and the guys working were great. Matthew and Modou plus a... More

Hi Mike N, Thanks for providing us with the feedback of your stay. We are so sorry that you felt our rooms are small. New York City tends to have smaller rooms then most due to real estate. This was definitely taken into consideration during our renovation. I am happy that you found our staff helpful and Matthew and Modou... More

Amazing! Our experience there it was just amazing. My husband and I were thrilled with the service. As a gay couple we felt that we were home or in a gay friendly environment. Checking in was fast, Nico at the Front Desk went above and beyond to make our special night even more special. At the Bar Mathew our bartender... More

From the location to the people and willingness to go the extra mile. We were greeted by Koby's great smile and directions to meet our needs. Migdalia and the reception crew were awesome. We will be back!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
