We stayed 5 nights at this hotel in September when we were in town for a friend's wedding. The location is simply fantastic. As mid-town as it gets. Right off 5th Ave and block from Saks. The hotel itself is very clean and modern. The rooms are spacious. The WiFi is complimentary. There are a few nice touches, such as...

Great location in the centre of it all, friendly staff, although I never felt very "warm". The room was nicely done, and was a real home for the few days we spent in NY this time. The room was a bit small, but fine.

Terribly low water pressure! If you like a robust shower in the morning, this may not be the place for you. We had 3 rooms, on two different floors and this was the first thing we talked about every morning at breakfast... We think they've maybe taken 'saving water' a little too far, for our crew in the Jewel's sister...

This hotel has been open for about a year. Great location at Rockefeller Centre. Close to everything. Rooms are typical NY rooms - small in size but very practical use of space. Very clean. Staff was very friendly. Also very quite. Great for a couple - not sure about families. Will stay here again!

Staying in NY in a good hotel in August is quite expensive. Once you have assumed that, you will find that the price of the Jewel is fair enough. The location couldn't be better, just one block away of the Rockefeller Center. The rooms aren't big, but have plenty of ammenities. A great place to stay at a reasonable price...

I have stayed at several Club Quarters properties and The Jewel is another solid find. They offer an updated room with basic amenities for a reasonable price. If you are looking for Marriott or Hilton level amenities then do not stay. This is a great location right across from Rockefeller Center and central to business and tourist activities. Times Square...

I travel to NYC a lot for business and after stumbling onto The Jewel, I have found my home away from home. It's in a great location, right next to Rock Center, between 5th and 6th Aves. The hotel is clean, stylish on a budget, the rooms are ample-sized, and offers all the amenities I need. There's no restaurant onsite,...

Love this boutique hotel! Super friendly staff. Love the room! What makes this special? The location is within walking distance of Radio City Music Hall, Rockerfeller Center and lots of great restaurants. I love the little touches - each floor has a purified water station where you grab a clean bottle and refill it whenever you like. The cappuccino machine...

We stayed at the Jewel for 7 days in October. We had a 2 bedroom apartment on the 7th floor. For four adults it wasn't a large space but was enough. The biggest issue we had was finding space for our suitcases, there were plenty of storage cupboards but not really enough space for 4 suitcases. The other negative was...

What a great find! Stayed for 5 nights in a standard view room on 6th floor. Sensational views - corner room so look right for a view of Radio City Music Hall & straight ahead Rockefeller Plaza. Location is fabulous - literally minutes walk to Broadway shows, and as a single lady walking back of an evening, this was a...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
