This was going to be a much higher rating until I had an experience checking out that shows you real attitudes. I was there for 3 nights, left my bags at hotel to grab lunch, and then back in lobby to get my bags and leave when I discovered my wallet was gone. Somewhere between lunch and the hotel, I'd...

We booked this place based upon TA reviews. The location is excellent, the rooms were super-clean and the breakfast next door was really good too. Here's the problem: despite having prepaid the entire stay, they didn't have a room for us when we arrived at midnight. We were sent to Brooklyn for the night! We were given a token amount...

Tea/coffee facilities in room , we also had fridge and microwave. Free wifi throughout hotel which is a must for the teenagers! We had a room on...

Location can be beat for this hotel directly opposite Rockefeller Center handy to many major NYC attractions. Rooms are small (but not bad for NYC). The room we had was only a foot or two wider then the bed was long, but very cleverly arranged to make the most of the space. Staff were excellent, good amenities in the hotel....

Great little hotel in a terrific location. Close to park, restaurants, subway. Simple without the large lobby. The room was very nice and clean with everything I wanted. Staff helpful. Price - excellent.

Perfect location, near Times Square, you can go walking to the main NY attractions. Bed was really comfortable. Nice staff that was really helpful whenever we had a question. Free wifi that runs very fast, complimentary tea and coffee in everyroom. We will definitely come back!

Lets start with what it hasn't got. No bar, no breakfast, not many staff, general lack of bolt on services. On the positive front it is so well located opposite the Rockefeller centre which offers food and services lacking in the pricey but very average hotel. The things that are missing cant earn more than an average rating.

Great new hotel. Perfect location. Couldn't be a better combination. Thoughtfully laid out rooms and bathroom with lots of natural light. Live the nice touch of water bottle stations on each floor. Highly recommend this hotel.

This is one of the best hotels we've stayed at in NYC! The location is unbelievable - on 51st Street at Rockefeller Center, 1/2 block from Fifth Avenue - right in the heart of everything! The Jewel is extremely well designed and very functional. Queen size comfortable bed, very clean room, large desk, walk-in shower - every detail well thought...

What a fantastic place to end a long day of walking around NYC. Right in front of NBC studios if you are able to drag yourself out of bed to be on the Today show. Right in the middle of hte action: FAO, Bloomingdales, Times Sq, Broadway. It's a trek to the south to see the Statue of Liberty but...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
