The Jewel really is a jewel with its location across the street from Rockefeller Centre and a block away from Radio City Music Hall. The hotel is quite narrow with a small lobby area with a front desk that consists of a small kiosk where the receptionist must stand for the entire shift (yikes!) That said, the staff were very...

We picked The Jewel based on good reviews and location. We were not disappointed. Our visit centered on Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall. Rockefeller Center is across the street and the big Christmas tree was practically straight out the front door. The room is European style in size and decor. The bathroom was nice and the shower was...

The Jewel is a Club Quarters hotel right across from Rockefeller Center. While more spartan than a traditional hotel, you have everything you need for a stay Or CEO are a bit lower which compensates as well

For the holidays it is the best location. Across the street from Rockefeller Center, which is good and bad. Crowds this time of year are chaotic, so be prepared. The rooms are small, but very nice. Please understand that this hotel is boutique and does not have some grand lobby or lounge. Location is its best selling feature. One more...

This is our must stay place in NYC, within walking distance of so much of what NYC has to offer. Normal would give it 5 stars but the night we got there the restaurant that is "part" of the Jewel was being used for a private party and trying to find a good place near by for dinner thats not...

I have wanted to see the Rockettes perform for so many years and this year my husband got tickets for their Christmas production. He booked a room at The Jewel (Facing Rockefeller Plaza) hotel on 51st Street. The Jewel is just that, a tiny structure nestled among giants. All people at the desk were friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Its...

This our third stay in a Club Quarters property, even though this one is called "The Jewel". The rooms aren't huge but they are clean, quiet and comfortable. The free WiFi is pretty fast as well. The location is great and the price was even better seeing as where it's located. Lot's of great places within walking distance. Oh, as...

Went to the Big Apple for preholiday festivities and shopping. The hotel was very clean and the staff accommodating. The staff was quick to respond to any of our needs. Iris at the front desk is the best!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
