About a year ago I got Hamilton tickets for May of 2017. Anyways... within that time the Canadian dollar dropped a fair amount so I was on the hunt for cheaper accommodations. I came across the Jewel and thought I'd give it a try. This was my 4th time in NYC so the location seemed ideal. It wasn't just the...

Spent 3 days in NYC in May 12-15 Great location! The room was small but all we needed. Had asked for a quiet room and got one! The room was clean and the staff were helpful! It was our first trip to New York and the location couldn't have been better. Would definitely stay there again

This hotel had an excellent location but the so-called "service" at check-in was among the worst I've seen at any hotel at any price point. Incredibly, this is a pure do-it-yourself hotel for $350.00 a night. I've stayed in other hotels for less money in NYC that had far better service. My room was clean and spacious, and, much to...

I enjoyed my overall stay at this hotel. The room was small but big enough, clean, good shower and bed. The problem was the noise, specially because our room was facing the street. I would stay here again, but only in a room not facing the street. The staff was very helpful. Special thanks to Iris, who was very helpful...

The room for 3 weeks was perfect. Close to everything. Walk or ride did not matter. Shows , shopping, attractions all within a few blocks. Excellent restaurants near by. Includes the sister hotel a few doors away.

Thermostat and TV remote remote were not working but someone was there within 5 minutes to resolve. I loved the bedside thermostat once it was working. Overall the room was quiet and the bed comfortable. The room was well appointed with a work station and fridge!

The Jewel is a perfecly-located hotel in mid-town Manhattan, just across from Rockefeller Center. It's close to entertainment and dining - many places are a quick walk and the subway is close. Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
