If a picture is worth a thousand words - here's 10,000 :) ........ although the beds were comfortable, overall the rooms were terrible and dirty, only one of the two elevators which kinna worked, it just had no light to indicate which floor it stopped...More
This is a hard review to write because we broke the rule that says you should complain to the staff and give them a chance to put things right. We didn't do that because we already knew they were fully booked and there wasn't actually...More
My husband and I stayed at Metro Apartments for 1 week in August 2012. I was very nervous about staying here after reading some of the reviews. We were pleasantly surprised with our choice. We checked in really easy and quickly around 7.30pm. Our un-renovated...More
The Metro Apartments isn't like a hotel, exactly, you're leasing an apartment for a period of time. After several previous trips to NYC in which I'd stayed on the East side, midtown, in a shoe-box sized room, I wanted something bigger and with facilities to...More

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Does anyone take travelers cheques these days and why would you want to use them in a place like New York when it is cheaper to take cash out of the hole in the wall?? I can understand carrying cheques when visiting the third world but not in the US. The hotel has a cash machine in the lobby, use a card - cheaper and safer.
