Access to subways and MTA is 3 buildings away on same street is the best part. Getting a metro senior pass was easy. Hotel is in heart of financial district, so easy ride to Statue of Liberty and Native American Museum up the street is worth visiting. Wanted to go to the first federal building in NYC but didn't have... More

1. Rooms are Ok, the elevator takes forever (Imagine waiting half an hour for the elevator).... 2. Don't expect too much for Hilton Diamond membership or whatever you have....(They don't have much rooms to upgrade you though, even Hampton Inn have better room choices) 3. Noisy, crowded, the management needs to improved. 4. There are certainly a lot more good... More

Nothing that I expect from Double Tree. So few elevators for the size of property. You could wait 1/2 to full hour for elevator, and miss your appointments. Check in and out n second floor is extremely inconvenient, with slow or non existent elevators or any other porter help to lug the baggage by stairs.

Great location in Manhattan. Close to museums and transportation. Hotel service was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful, offering assistance with baggage and elevator access. Value for NYC was better than most.

This was not a terrible experience, but it did not live up to the quality of a 4-star hotel. The lobby, hallways, and elevators were not air conditioned on a muggy, 80-degree day. Our room was missing hand soap and an alarm clock. The shower water pressure was very low. All the pillows were down-stuffed (not great for allergies). There... More

Good luck trying to find a parking valet or bellman accessible. Check in is on 2nd floor and understaffed. Elevators are so slow and ridiculously crowed with people and luggage. Not at all what you would expect at a Doubletree. Find a different hotel.

Let me start by saying that we chose this hotel because of proximity to my wife's office and price. On line the hotel looked great so we had hope. When we checked in Saturday we were greeted by an energetic and friendly gentleman at the front desk who presented us with two bottles of water and two warm chocolate chip... More

My wife and I had 4 nights in a row where we were unable to sleep due to a phone constantly ringing in our room at night. The hotel management were aware of the problem, from before we checked in, but did not inform us (a maid told me). I was on the first day assured that the problem would... More

Hotel would be fine, but it is impossible during peak hours to get an elevator in under 15 minutes. P There is a long line, and people on lower floors often resort to walking down rather than deal with the excessive waiting. Also issues with getting hot water on higher floors.

I stood 2 Nights at the hotel, while NYC had to welcome the UN general assembly.... prices for those times jump up tremendously: for my tiny little room a had to pay more that 250 USD. But I could have booked the Waldorf for 705 USD/night... I loved the room 3808 with "city view"; this was a view to Hudson... More
