Arrived around 6, fast check in. We booked about a month before coming so managed to get a really good price for a studio king room on the 40th floor, amazing view. Breakfast was included which was good but very manic in the morning, lots of choice though but it's sometimes easier to take it to your room. We had... More

Elements - great location in Manhattan, and walkable to Time Square and other nearby popular sites. The hotel itself does the job. But I could tell the hotel was more about volume, than about specific individual attention. The staff - great customer service of course. But the lobby was just a touch small, for the volumes of residents flowing in... More

During our 10-day stay we experienced mostly convenience. Port authority station only 5 min walk, same for Times Square. The view (32th floor) was great, Empire State Building to the left. The bed (size and mattress) was very good, we slept really well. The maids did a great job, the room has always been very clean. The Tourist information and... More

in any other city you would not tolerate this tiny rooms and this atmosphere, but here in Manhattan you can be grateful to get rooms like this (clean, and you get get into the bed from both sides). I got upgraded from a standard room into a studio, which is the largest category this hotel offers. But even this was... More

We recently stayed at the Element NY Times Square. This hotel has what the front desk refers to as a concierge, but we found out the hard way, after over paying for tickets, that their "concierge" is really a third party concierge, an independent "ticket agent". When I asked the front desk where was the best place to get advise... More

We stayed here using points. We chose it for the location and price point (free). The location is perfect. Close to Penn Station and right in Times Square. The staff are phenomenal - very courteous and friendly. The room was clean and provided everything we needed. However, we were on the 38th floor - which gave us an amazing view... More

The rooms are clean and a decent size, no view from our floor (3rd floor) but that was a benefit because we could take the stairs up (we read plenty of reiews on Tripadvisor about the slow lifts and these are all true). The bellhop was incredibly rude and unhelpful when we arrived but the desk staff were more accomodating... More

We really enjoyed our stay here! Normally this would be out of our price range, but we stayed for free using our AMEX SPG points. One staff member in particular went above and beyond, Felix Houseman. We were downstairs in the laundry, standing barefoot and drying our shoes since we had gotten soaked in the rain. Without even asking, he... More

Location is just great. Two blocks from the Penn Station - the main NYC bus terminal. Very convenient. Pretty close also to the Theater District, so I really recommend this hotel if you think about the Broadway musical (we had 3 nights in Element and 3 performance). Staff is really friendl - thanks ;) I really recommend 40th, highest floor.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
