I stayed here for just under a week after Hurricane Sandy. The staff was great and I had no problems. I was really surprised how nice the hotel was for the price paid. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The only problem was that it seems that someone who was in my room changed the combination to my luggage... More

Dear somuchtravel999 - thank you for your positive review, albeit with a new and interesting twist. This is definitely a first - I don’t even know how to change the combinations on my own luggage locks. But we’ll follow up on who serviced your room and see what we can find out - we have a great staff, and I... More

I stayed at this hotel because I could not travel to Louisville due to the hurricane Sandy. Just for one night and it was enough. The hotel is very moderne but so cold and indifferent! You come in and out and nobody notices you! The room is so cold and the bed so small that it is almost impossible that... More

Hello clara50. Thank you for your comments. Hurricane Sandy was a huge disruption to everything normal in NYC, especially on the 31st (the second day after the hurricane, when our Internet and phones went down), and to be quite frank, your review surprises me since we pride ourselves on our friendly staff. My only response is that I am sorry... More

We booked this hotel for a long weekend in NY through Hotwire and highly recommend it. The location is great -- within easy walking distance of Bryant Park, Times Square, Fifth Ave., etc. yet the block that the hotel itself is on is relatively quiet. The rooms are extraordinarily small but this is the case for most NY hotels. The... More

Hello Scaniophile! Thank you very much for your comments! We are lucky indeed with our location! Believe me, the fact that we are so close to many subway stops and Grand Central make it much easier for our colleagues as well. And you’re not the only one to want a Frette robe. It was a prize at our last holiday... More

Went to NY for a weekend to visit friends. My buddy and I decided to share a room. We booked through hotwire, looking for a nice fun place that wasn't too expensive but in a good location. Ended up booking at Cassa and were really pleased. We booked a room with a double bed but ended up getting upgraded to... More

The Cassa Hotel is a very good hotel. The interior is modern and tastefull. We loved the location, it is very close to Times Square. I wouldn't recommand it to people with little children. The hotel does not have a restaurant so you have to take your meals outside. That was maybe the only down side, it would be conveniant... More

Hello Eva9160. Thank you very much for your comments! We actually do have a breakfast space on the 10th floor. It is a temporary set up until our restaurant opens after this coming winter. But even though it’s temporary, we still offer a full a la carte menu and room service for breakfast. We actually have a room configuration called... More

Great location, comfortable and clean, Staff was very friendly and accommodating to my schedule. I was working nights and sleeping most of the day, but they still cleaned my room every evening. The rooms are small, but it's New York. It's not like you're going to spend a lot of time in your room. The only thing I didn't like... More

Got stranded at JFK during nor'easter and got a room at Cassa purely by chance. Very nice accommodations, great staff, reasonable price. Just a few blocks from Times Square, theaters and Rockefeller plaza. This is where I will stay when I come to the city in the future.

We stayed at this hotel for about a week at the end of September. All in all, it was a very nice hotel. Very clean and modern, just how we like it. We were placed in the 4th floor the first 2 days. I'm very sensitive to noise when sleeping. The first night, I was so tired I fell asleep... More

Dear mka_sf - thank you for staying with the Cassa and for your nice review, a little odd though it may be. This was a fun boutique hotel with a bit of hipster 'tude, but Restoration Hardware-like furnishings. I might stay here again, but not for business. This hotel has an excellent balance considering cost-benefit and also is extremely well positioned, only a few blocks from Time Square and 5th Ave. Also, I would like to mention and thank Michael Schneiser, that clearly exceeded my expectations on handling a difficult situation and made all the difference to me and my wife. Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
