Great location in Soho. Nice boutique hotel. Room amenities are good. Unfortunately my room faced west and the January winds blew in through the gaps in the windows. Stay on the east side if you can, or go in warmer weather.

Superb customer service! Amazing bed that helped us fall asleep despite being jet lag from our travels in Asia! Chic rooftop bar! We stayed before the holidays and then booked a return visit when coming back into the city before flying out again!
Possibly our expectations were too high as having stayed several times at The James Chicago where everything has always been exceptional. My daughter and I arrived on Saturday afternoon about 12:30. As we entered the very understated (not in a bad way) entrance on the...More
I came to The James hotel during July 4th weekend and had a great experience. However, returning for New Years it was a different story. I had a multiple night stay which would end New Year's Day. They did not clean our room on time...More

Once the artistic hub of New York, SoHo is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway is teeming with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore. Take a detour down the quieter
side streets to see the real star of the district – the world’s largest collection of intricate and elegant cast-iron architecture. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city.

Hi! I wish I could answer that question, we stayed in a corner suite and were on the 5th floor I believe. I don't believe the hotel has more than 10 or 15 stories as I recall. Probably best to call the property directly.
I dont know- you’d be better off asking the hotel directly. Higher floors have outstanding views, but if too high i wonder if you can get some noise from roof terrace. I stayed mid floor-excellent views, magnificent sunrise... More
