I have stayed here TWICE in the past three months and have another visit scheduled in a few weeks. I absolutely LOVE this hotel. It is fabulous in every way. Gorgeous rooms with high ceilings, huge bathrooms, friendly and helpful staff (who are not pretentious in any way), and fantastic location. Even the non-alcoholic beverages and snacks from the minibar... More

This is my second stay at Andaz. The first time was about four years ago when it first opened. The hotel has two towers the North is the older building and the South newer, I stayed at the North tower this time, access from second floor. The room is big, no view of the street hence no noise in the... More

Directly opposite the ny library, short walk to times square, grand central and so much more. It was our 30th wedding anniversary and we arrived around 1pm. Our room was ready and they had upgraded us to a 5th avenue view. Fab! Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was huge by ny standards. Bathroom and toilet were odd. Doors could... More

Once again, work took me to NYC (I know, I can't complain). This time I decided to avoid Times Square at all costs! I had to be in NYC during the weekend and that was the last thing I wanted to do, have to deal with hoards of people getting in an out of the hotel in the morning and... More

The rooms are very trendy and modern. Right across the street from the ny public library and a great park. Next to all the shopping. Ideal location. Rooms were great. The hotel bar had delicious crafted cocktails. It was a popular place for locals as well as hotel guests.

The good: Large rooms , with good views -- mine had a large terrace Convenient location All the non alcoholic goodies and drinks in the minibar are included in the room rate. Room we'll lit. The bad: The work space/desk in the room is child size -- literally, I am not a super tall person (5-8) but I found the... More

The Andaz entrance is a bit tricky to find given its discreet approach to signage on a dark rainy night and the lobby is not your typical lobby, but staff are really friendly and the room was very generously sized for New York. This is a hotel that emphasizes design, so be prepared for a minimalist approach to furnishings (no... More

The great experience began with our check-in, at around noon, when we were told that if we could wait ten minutes we could get upgraded to a two-bedroom suite. We were offered refreshments and there was fruit available to snack on. A wonderful resort-like welcome indeed. The suite was great with two bedrooms and two bathrooms - and a huge... More

Good - Great location, cool cocktail bar, coffee whenever, nice staff. OK - Gym (for a hotel), minimalist public areas, comfortable rooms, AC. Gripes - No tub, street noise even on 10th. Mostly all very good!

Nice hotel, clean, friendly staff and even friendlier waitresses in the restaurant. Breakfast was great and coffee was strong. Location is awesome and ease of reaching food, subway and entertainment. Room was clean and nicely designed/decorated. Lower room will hear the street traffic, not too bad at night. One light was not working so that was a little annoying when... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
