a very nice home for me in Newyork, the owner Bernardo provided me useful guide which makes my short stay in Newyork a great memory. Bernardo reserved the room for me without credit card gurantee(as the card doesn't work for some reason). Room was clean and comfortable, very close to sub-way station, a nice place to stay for exploring Newyork,... More

I have only great things to say about The San Fermin B&B!! Bernardo is a helpful, informative and all round great host! Nothing was a problem! He made us feel welcome and confident in our new surroundings. The room was lovely, and only a stones throw from the subway! I highly recommend. Gabriel and Nadia

We used San Fermin as our home base for eight nights while exploring different NYC sights and neighborhoods with our 14 yr. old. Our apartment at San Fermin was clean and pleasant and a very good value for the money. The 145th St. express subway stop is very close by. A full-fledged Foodtown grocery store is also within easy walking... More

Indeed the best place to stay when visiting NY. After a busy day walking the busy streets in down town Manhattan there is no place better to return to then the apartments owned by Bernardo and Maite. We (me and my 3 girls) had the topfloor apartment, with the kitchen. Great for having a quick breakfast in the morning. From... More

We stayed here for a friends wedding and would definitely recommend it. Only 5 mins from the Subway, which is on an express line which can get you to Downtown quickly. Felt safe. The owners were really helpful and friendly and couldnt do enough for us. The room was a decent size, clean and well maintained. Great value for money,... More

When choosing lodging in NYC, we search for value, cleanliness, safety, comfort and easy accessibility to public transportation. We found that and so much more at the San Fermin Apartments in Sugar Hill, Harlem. Beyond the accoutrements of our suite, our host Bernardo made us feel like valued family members. This B&B is within a charming renovated brownstone without a... More

We had a wonderful stay in San fermin BandB We were four people in the upper appartement. bedrooms, stairway, bathroom ; everything is very well decorated and very clean. We felt immediately at home. We booked our stay here at the last minute, having quickly reviewed the entries on Trip Advisor, and we couldn't have been happier. From the outset Bernardo was very helpful with advice on travelling from JFK to the B&B and was there waiting for us when we arrived. Each morning we were greeted by him and guided by his valuable... We spent one week with our kids (15 & 17 years old) in one of the Sanfermin Apartments. We couldn't have stayed at a better place in New York. Everything was just perfect! A special thank to Bernardo for his kind help and service.

Neighborhood Profile
Harlem
As a hub of African American culture, Harlem has played a vital role in the history of New York City. Today, the neighborhood is as vibrant as ever as new businesses and developments go up next to local institutions. The heart of the neighborhood is bustling 125th Street, where street vendors and historic landmarks like the Apollo Theater mingle with big-name stores. Turn down almost any corner, and you’ll discover some of the most beautiful blocks in the city, filled with handsome brownstones, soul food restaurants, corner shops, and scenic parks. For a taste of a real New York neighborhood, it’s hard to top a visit to Harlem.
