As a hub of African American culture, Harlem has played a vital role in the history of New York City. Today, the neighborhood is as vibrant as ever as new businesses and developments go up next to local institutions. The heart of the neighborhood is bustling 125th Street, where street vendors and historic landmarks like the Apollo Theater mingle with big-name stores. Turn down almost any corner, and you’ll discover some of the most beautiful blocks in the city, filled with handsome brownstones, soul food restaurants, corner shops, and scenic parks. For a taste of a real New York neighborhood, it’s hard to top a visit to Harlem.

It is my understanding that they will be out of business by October. I was very unhappy to hear this as we had planned to stay there in September, ourselves. Hopefully I am wrong about this-- as San Fermin Apartments are a wonderful place...

I originally contacted them via their website's "contact us" webform. They responded right away. They do not advertise rates online. I got the rates directly from the owners.

"Rooms facing away from the street are quieter."

"This is a walk up building. No elevator. It is off of 145 street in Harlem, but it is safe."
