We originally stayed at the Intercontinental as part of a booked holiday for 2 nights but due to covid spent 7 nights there. The hotel is centrally located round the corner from Times Square which meant it was not too noisy but easy to reach the iconic New York places such as Central Park and the Empire State Building. Our room was spacious and the air conditioning which we needed in July worked well. We found all of the staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and professional at all times. Due to self isolating the room service menu was useful although a little limited especially during the evening, however, the food was nicely served and a good quality. Internet worked well which was helpful and check-in/out were speedy and efficient

Booked this stay with my Tripadvisor Plus membership and saved a TON of money. We ended up getting a room on the second highest floor and had incredible views of the city. This trip was just a one night stay for a two day getaway to NYC, but we were highly impressed with what felt like very luxurious accommodations to us! The location was incredibly convenient, as we arrived into Port Authority, and the hotel staff had our room ready early when we arrived around 12pm to drop off our bags and hit the streets. My 12 year old daughter is now comparing every hotel stay to this, as it made a lasting impression on her.

Location near Times Square is great. Very accommodating staff from doormen, concierge, front desk, and housekeeping. Ate in the restaurant once; very ordinary and pricey. The concierge was very knowledgeable. The staff was multilingual.

First of all the place is beautiful…but we didn’t get adjoining rooms like asked months before when booking and with kids that was very hard to deal with being in a room down the hall and around the corner. Second it was my daughter’s birth and I was asked when booking over the phone if there was anything I wanted/needed ? A bottle of champagne for the adults was suggested and a bottle of sparkling grape juice for the kids. This also never happened. Parking was chaotic and deceitful as we were told $45 to park if we stayed at the hotel. Again that never happened $79. This is not ok to me. To tell me one price then make me pay another. The gentleman I talked to was rude and flat out lied to my face and said repeatedly that he told me it would be $79. This is not true at all. In fact I said to him the day before when we parked it , how much will this be ? $44 sir and you’ll even be able to get anything you need since the vehicle will be right here on the ground. End of conversation till the next day when the price amazingly went up to $79.

I visited New York with my mum and sister and stayed in the Intercontinental Hotel in New York 300 west 44th Street. We had a fantastic time. The hotel was in a great location, very clean and comfortable. It is a shame the rooms only have a mini bar and not a separate fridge so you could refrigerate water or your own snacks. What really made our stay special was the fantastic STAFF who were always there to help, have a chat, give a smile and generally be very pleasant. Just to name a few of our favorites from concierge - David, Mike, Charles, Elvis, Juan and George. From the bar, Nick, Jorge, Paul, Edwardo, Jay, Luis, Arla, Johansen, Tsering and Alam. Finally our driver Nelson, who safely drove us to the airport. Thank you all xxx

I spent three nights at this hotel and my only complaint - and that says a lot - is that the ironing board cover was not padded, so it was difficult to iron my suit. The hotel location was perfect and my room was quite and clean.

Overall, I had a pleasant three-night stay at the InterContinental New York Times Square. The only disappointing part of my stay was I received a room with two double beds instead of the king room I had requested. The hotel claimed this was all that was available when I checked-in around 8pm on a Tuesday. However, I was given an "upgrade" to a Sky View room on the 30th floor with decent views of the city. The room was an adequate size given it's NYC. The bathroom had all the necessary amenities and although slippers and a robe were not initially provided they were brought to the room when requested. One morning I had room service breakfast delivered and it was right on time and the avocado toast with eggs was rather tasty. As expected, the mini bar items were overpriced, but sometimes you just have to have that bottle of Fiji water. I wish all hotels would just provide complimentary bottled water. The Times Square location is great if you are a tourist and want to see Broadway shows. I used to live in NYC and this is far from my favorite area of the city. Unfortunately, NYC is becoming more unsafe, but this is not the fault of the hotel. The next time I am in NYC for work, I will definitely consider staying here again.

I have stayed at this hotel MANY times in the past but won't be again. It has gone downhill badly. The rooms are very outdated and quite frankly not that clean. Service was not good at all. It was so disappointing. I used to love this hotel, as it is a great location but it does not deserve to be an Intercontinental, as it does NOT live up to the standards at all.

Stayed 3 nights in October 2021 at the InterContinental New York Times. It’s on 44th Street at 8th Ave making it very centrally located for lots of theatre and tourist destinations and there’s a subway entrance next to the entrance of the hotel. The rooms are actually quite spacious for NYC at 350 sq ft, I’ve stayed at many places in NYC with rooms much smaller than this one. We had a room with 2 double beds which had room to have our both of our luggage, plus a little desk area. I found the beds comfortable. I will say that even though we were on the 18th floor, one night I heard a lot of honking from the street – I recommend having earplugs just in case. The bathroom was nice although even though it was a room with 2 beds, it wasn’t designed for sharing. The shower door was clear and the full-length mirror was right next to the toilet which is totally weird seeing yourself while on the toilet. It would have been nice to plan out these rooms a little better so two people could get ready at the same time. There’s no tub, but a walk in shower which was upgraded to a rain head with a spray nozzle that you can use at the same time – very nice. In addition, the water got warm quickly and stayed warm – a really great shower! There was a good bit of space around the sink to store your stuff. I had great experience with the staff as well – Jae at the front desk was nice and when there was an issue, he corrected it quickly without issue. The cleaner on our floor (forgot her name) was great and very friendly. Thankfully our reservation had breakfast included it’s not included for everyone and I wouldn’t have paid that price otherwise. Everyone at the restaurant was very nice (remember in NYC you have to show your vaccination card to dine indoors) – the food was good, and the service was great each morning. Because of the pandemic, they were only open for breakfast. It wasn’t open later and there aren’t food options in the hotel after breakfast. That being said, you’re right in the middle of midtown so it’s not like there aren’t a million options nearby. I will say that the hotel is pretty pricy and they usually charge an amenity fee which I really hate.
