The hotel is centrally located. China Town, Little Italy are located at walking distance. The breakfast is above average. The rooms were cleaned regularly. The hotel staff are helpful. Subway is close to the hotel. Many restaurants are close to this hotel

After combing through a bunch of hotels in Manhattan, this was one of the more affordable places I could find (shade under $200/night for a couple), and it happened to be in an area with a bunch of great restaurants and bars we wanted to visit, so that worked out well. So, beyond the great location (also only a few... More

The rooms are small but clean. Don't bring a large suit case. Great area and convenient to the subway. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It can get very crowded and loud on the streets during the weekend. Lots of bars and restaraunts. Be sure to get a room higher up to help with the noise.

I have been traveling to NYC for a number of years and I have to say I think I have found a hotel that I will return to. The hotel itself is very small, 12 floors with only 2 rooms on each floor. Breakfast was in the basement. The room was average size for Manhattan, meaning that there was enough... More

I came to NY for work and my company put me up in this hotel. The queen room was tiny and cramped. They had an ancient air conditioner in there that was extremely loud and vibrated so you couldn't have it on at night even though it was the middle of summer and stinking hot. Then, if you left it... I usually stay at Comfort Inns on my trips and vacations since I am a member of choice hotels and I get discounts. Comfort Inn has been my #1 choice because they are usually very clean and hot breakfast is included. However, this Comfort Inn was a major disapointment. Although the room was clean and decent, is was very small... More

This was our 3rd time staying at the Comfort Inn on the Lower East Side. We spent the 4th of July here. This hotel is reasonably priced, clean and comfortable. It's situated in perfect location with easy access to the subway. The neighborhood is really cool and contains some awesome shops, bars and restaurants. Angel and Su were very accommodating.... This place was clean and comfortable. The room was small, as are all of them in Manhattan, and without the AC unit likely very difficult to sleep in. Breakfast was a bit gross and the coffee weak, but, again, good solid reasonably priced accommodations in a very expensive city. Desk people were very helpful with directions and questions, and the... More

We asked to have two beds in the room (as my dad and I were traveling together), and they completely ignored the request. When we checked in, they said no rooms had that option (even though they'd told us they would arrange it). They were also not helpful at all in trying to think of alternatives. Any rollaway beds? No.... More

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
