This is still my favorite hotel in NYC!! Why? 1) The whimsical interior style of the rooms, restaurant and lobby are so fun and will make you smile 2) The location is in the heart of SOHO and you are in walking distance of amazing shopping and restaurants. While pricey, this hotel is special and always worth it! I will come back everytime! The staff is friendly and accommodating. Rooms are large and luxurious with carpets, upholstered headboards and full shower, marble bathroom, closet and drawers.
What an amazing oasis of charm and class in NYC. I loved it from the moment I walked in. The fabric and decoration are superb and it really feels like home away from home. The room was so comfortable with an amazingly powerful shower and floor to ceiling windows with the sun streaming in. Staff were.very charming and helpful. The bar is great and the restaurant a great location for a fantastic breakfast and dinner. Balthazar is steps away as are the shops of Soho and the subway to get all over town so a great location. I will definitely return
Love this hotel. Great location in Soho. Close to subway, great shopping, restaurants. Wonderful staff! Beautiful rooms. Delicious food at restaurant. Best shower ever, great water pressure. Interesting art throughout. Only negative was bed was a bit too firm for us but everything else was so perfect easy to overlook. Would be nice if you could get coffee earlier than 8am. Especially at this price point but thankfully many coffee shops close by.
This is a truly great hotel. Take a breath and spring for the price, because it is totally worth it. The service was warm, professional but not pretentious. The design is so on point and the attention to detail is amazing. Great beds, great shower - even the linen fragrance spray makes you feel more relaxed. Friendly and well stocked bar, always willing to accommodate you. I’d move in permanently if I could afford it!
The best hotel we have stayed at in NY and one of the best anywhere. The location is perfect and the property is gorgeous. They also have a great restaurant with plenty of healthy options. It's quite expensive, but worth it.
We stayed here 5 nights... we love the hotel and are fans of firmdale (especially Soho Hotel in London). However, service really needs to step up in this property. For a hotel like this, and paying what you pay for a night, everyone should really step it up. Check-in was painful, we arrived at 7:45am and were given a room at 2pm... we were not offered anything to drink or eat and felt we were not being a priority even if they told us they were "prioritizing" every time we asked. The rooms are impeccable and housekeeping does a great job. The day before we left we got a knock on the door and someone brought us brownies "for having stayed so many days"... gesture is amazing, message can get better. We called the concierge one night regarding a dinner reservation, he forgot to call the restaurant. Not only that, but he didn't even suggest something else. Next time I will really evaluate if it's worth it coming here... I really like feeling at home with Kit Kemp's amazing work here, but the service was terrible... I feel catered for better at my actual home. We left with two pieces of luggage each and we were not even offered help to take everything to the taxi. Everything with service at this hotel feels Unfortunate except the restaurant! Natalia is a great asset as well as some servers.…
Beautiful room with a super comfortable bed and an awesome shower. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant is also terrific, really cool space, excellent drinks, and surprisingly good food.
We arrived on a Wednesday. When i made the reservation, i had asked for a West facing room. I booked through Grand Luxury Hotel service. Part of being a member through them, you're guaranteed a room upgrade, which was available, breakfast for 2, and a bottle of champagne. After a 5-1/2 hr flight to NY, you'd think when you come thru the door, someone would have helped us with our luggage,,,nope. No welcome, when i walked up to the desk, just a "credit card and ID" I first asked if i could get a West facing room. It would have been on floors 8-11. On 4 floors, you couldn't find us a West facing room. Never saw anyone on our floor, until the weekend, except for the staff coming in and out of the service elevator. Housekeeping skipped us, so we had no water replenished, no towels 1 day. Just a lil disappointing after being out all day, and the room is not refreshed. I guess if you don't book thru them, you don't have the same service, and they stick you right next to the service elevator. The hotel is eclectic, and it's on a great street, but for the price, we probably would not book there again.…
What a surprise to find this super dog- friendly jewel box in soho. Denzel and the guys are the front desk were so kind and accommodating. My room was ready early, I was given an upgrade and best of all, Bowie was made to feel SO welcome everywhere by everyone. 🐶 Decor is beautiful, updated, fun and colorful. Shower pressure is AMAZING. Super comfortable. Great bar and restaurant downstairs. I honestly cannot wait to return. My only negative comment would be about coffee… no coffee machine in the room & the restaurant doesn’t open early. No coffee downstairs anywhere. I had to get outside coffee both mornings, which was tough with🐶. But I will plan for that hiccup when I return later this month. It’s worth it.
We came to the city to move our son into an apartment. This was our third time staying at the Crosby street hotel. We love fabulous hotels and this hotel has a lovely garden and small but pretty rooms. We booked a room that had amenities including upgrades. We typically use platinum am ex and have really enjoyed the perks with the am ex card. We realized that the Crosby didn’t accept am ex, but we thought given the amenities we booked that we were entitled to an upgrade. We checked in (had to bring in our own luggage because no one was around which was fine, but given the attitude of the hotel is kind of comical) and the man who checked us in, who was absolutely lovely by the way, said check back tomorrow. So tomorrow came and the person I spoke to was definitely and sort of ambiguously saying no upgrades were available. The grayness of it all led me to speak with the manager who was rude and told me that for 2,000$ additionally we could upgrade to a suite in such a snotty way. I think next time we will stay at the Bowery or even uptown at the Carlisle where we have been treated with such gracious manners. We thought we would try the Crosby again, but it was clearly a mistake. I know covid has been hard on hotels, but our experience has been that the best hotels have stepped up their game and have tried everything to make their guests happy. Unfortunately, this is clearly not the ethos of the Crosby street. …
