#5 of 290 Specialty lodging in New York City
Step inside the exquisitely carved wooden doors at Chambers. Expansive windows and posh rooms, designed by renowned architect David Rockwell, are top of the menu here. Not to mention the lobby is downright stunning. Stroll through Central Park or take in a show at Radio City Music Hall. You’re right in the heart of all Midtown Manhattan has to offer. If you get hungry, Felice serves coffee, pastries, and delicious Tuscan fare right downstairs.

We came for a last-minute visit to NYC and this Sonder did not disappoint! Jordan and Jose made our check-in so easy and fun, welcoming us with kindness and excitement! The view from our room on floor 15 was fantastic and the room was very clean and comfortable. Pros: Free water in the mezzanine lounge and provided bottles to reduce waste. Large tub and rain shower with plenty of hot water! Quiet street, not very noisy at all. The restaurant next door - Felice 56 - is a MUST VISIT! Cons: The bed seems to be past its useful life, with clear dents on either side and a hump in the middle - not super soft, but the tub helped with the soreness each morning.

Property's Favorite Review
I met friends there for 4 nights and we had 3 rooms. We all agreed it was very quiet for sleeping and the rain showers were awesome. Friendly masked desk staff. Very cosy lobby. No cable TV but I don’t go in holiday in New York City to watch TV! (There is Chromecast for streaming your own content from your phone with the Google app but I didn’t try it). Housekeeping on demand but I didn’t get any because of Covid. Location was fantastic. Easy enough to get there by E train from PennStation and JFK. Walking distance to Central Park, Lincoln Center, MOMA, Rockefeller Center, shopping on 5th Ave etc. Live jazz and food & atmosphere at The Whitby across the street highly recommended. Bread and Butter a couple of doors down has good snacks and drinks and I can recommend the omelettes and coffee for a quick and inexpensive breakfast. Brooklyn Diner and La Grande Boucherie nearby also great.

First time staying at the Chambers and everything was perfect. What an excellent location and a very nicely appointed room with a very comfortable king size bed. And the staff, Jordan, Keith and Jose could not have been more friendly and hospitable. My wife and I also enjoyed a delicious dinner in Felice56 in the hotel. Thank you, Keith, for the recommendation. Everything about our stay was excellent and I will choose Sonder whenever I can for my hotel accommodations.

Nice room at a very fair rate. The front desk was also very friendly and accommodating during working hours. Minimalist rooms that are still nice. No complaints from me or my daughter during our three day stay.

We stayed in a 1BR. Location is priceless close to Central Park, Rockefeller Center & restaurants. We arrived late the staff was very helpful & went out of the way to help. Keith & everyone we dealt with. The room had all the essential amenities, shower is fab & no city noise filtered up in the night.
