I'm used to staying at 5 star hotels but I didn't want an old hotel like the St Regis or the Peninsula. This hotel is a two minute walk around the corner from these hotels. THE LOCATION WAS GREAT!,,,PERFECT. The best shopping and access to central park.

Hello James A, and thank you. While our doormen are not of the top hatted variety and there is no lavish sign above our portal, Chambers is the go-to for in the know folks like you. We keep it quiet and friendly, and you are right... the location cannot be beat. Please do return again and again, we'll be delighted every time. Too, please feel free contacting me directly to make all your arrangements. Once again, many thanks. Yours, Ansell Hawkins General Manager

Our room (#104) was a corner room on the 10th floor, and we were very pleased that it was available upon our arrival in NY. It had a safe, bottled still water, coffee and wine on the Mezzanine floor, a fantastic rain shower with a hard water flow. The toiletries were useable, i.e. they were "top shelf", and the slippers and robes were a nice touch. The room was very comfortable, and we will definitely consider staying here again on another visit to NY. And the restaurant/cafe "Felice" was excellent.

Hello Nitvoyodelo. We are pleased you both enjoyed room 104, a Corner King (one of our favorites), and that you have posted your pleasure to TripAdvisor. Red Flower is indeed top shelf and Felice is a marvelous spot for anytime in Midtown. Please do return again and again; we will be happy to have it all waiting fro you, as before. Yours kindly, Ansell Hawkins General Manager

We stayed here as a couple for 2 nights. Location is good, but I’m afraid that was the only positive for me. The room was dark and dingy, browns and greens with a touch of dark cream. When we opened the (brown) curtains in the morning we were greeted by workmen to the side with building work on the adjacent plot. The corridors were dark, as were the public areas. It was like being in perpetual darkness, even though it was bright sunshine outside. Didn’t want to spend time in the hotel, which I usually enjoy in the evenings. When we arrived, instead of showing us how to open the windows (in January!), I would have preferred more information on the amenities. There was no mention of the downstairs restaurant (we only found it on the final day after having breakfast in the cafe overlooking it!). Not for me & I wouldn’t stay here again.

Dear AnnieBabs33, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We love to hear from our guests and jump at the opportunity to respond with sincere gratitude. Chambers was designed by David Rockwell to reflect the mood of a New York City artist’s loft. The textures are a combination of leather, wood, rich browns and purples. Our bed linens are a crisp white with a vibrant purple lining. Bright green and orange slippers lay bedside for a sense of whimsy. The idea is to create a sense of serenity and calm in the middle of a very busy city. And yes, the corridors are dimmed to inspire soft voices. That said, each of our floors have a unique design of which I am sure we can find the perfect combination of joyful hallway and bright room accommodation to suit you. I invite you to contact me directly on your next visit and promise to take good care. Yours kindly, Ansell Hawkins General Manager
