I am generally a Marriott guy (as in 100+ nights/year Marriott guy). My business partner is a boutique hotel guy. So, when we travel together we alternate choices. This was my first stay at the Chambers. It's a hipster hotel. Cool interior, small rooms (typical of NYC) and a great location. Staff is super friendly (bordering on obsessive). WiFi is... More

My wife and I only spent one night here, as we stayed with friends for the rest of our stay. However that one night was enough to cement this as one of my favourite hotels I've ever been to! Comfortable rooms, excellent decor, brilliant food next door but more than any of the above the staff were amazing! Knowledgable, helpful... More

The hotel is in a great location. I suppose that it's fine if you like boutique hotels but personally I found the room decoration odd and not very relaxing. Helpful and friendly staff. Complementary tea and coffee on the mezzanine was a nice touch.

Not for everyone, but a good style boutique hotel. Why not for everyone? If you are looking for an international hotel with all the bells and whistles this is not for you. No onsite restaurant, gym or coffee shop. However, if you are after a quality room, staff that are attentive but not over the type and a location that... More

Dear SeaBeeSydney, We will be very pleased to have you back anytime, and often. We do, in fact, have a a restaurant in the hotel and not just any restaurant but David Chang's Momofuku Má Pêche, with a Milk Bar attached, which while not a traditional coffee shop serves up a mean cuppa joe and tasty treats. The gym, though... More

I stayed back in October 2015 as a tag on weekend to a business trip. I was a lone female so wanted somewhere safe and central so I could get around easily as I only had a spare 24 hours to see the sites but equally not ridiculously overpriced! I had been to NYC before around 12 yrs earlier so... More

My wife and I were in New York for a medical appointment with a specialist here and needed a place to stay. Having stayed at many of the bigger well known hotels, we thought we would try this smaller boutique midtown hotel. We are very glad we chose here. The location is very good. The staff was terrific. We arrived... More

This is our second Christmas trip to NYC staying at the Chambers Hotel. Centrally located, beautiful rooms, amazing staff, free passes to the gym, close to the Rockefeller center, the Park and MOMA, we highly recommend it!

This is a great little hotel in NYC. The location is superb, walking distance to Central Park, Moma, 5th Ave shopping, Madison Ave, Rockefeller Centre, Times Square etc... There are some great NYC institutions for food nearby like Sarabeth's, the Burger Joint and, of course, Momofuku milk bar. The staff are super friendly, extra helpful and quick to respond to... We arrived on 30/12 late afternoon and were "interogated" rather than welcomed by the lady employee at the front desk in a very aggressive manner. The rest of the staff during our stay -we stayed three nights- were all very helpful. Breakfast was limited in choices and times available-only in room, there was not another option-and on 1/16 there was... More

Location is good. Help were very friendly. Room was very small. Bathroom very tiny. Were were able to get very good maps of places that we were interested in. No areas in lobby to chill out. Elevators were very slow. Price was very reasonable.

Dear Donald P, Chambers does indeed have a very fine location and our staff is both very friendly and knowledgeable. By New York standards our rooms are not particularly small at 300 sq ft, the bathrooms proportionally sized. Our lobby has three separate seating areas and the mezzanine, open and visible from the ground floor, is quite literally nothing but lounging... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
