This hotel speaks of excellence when it comes to service. Whether it is the greeting at the front door, check in or room service, this team could not have done better. We rented a king size with a balcony for an extra charge. The rooms are small but immaculate. I think next time I would skip the balcony. The view was limited. The cost is about typical for hotels in this area. There is no restaurant or mini bar but one doesn't have to travel far to indulge.
What makes this hotel stand out amongst the dearth of hotels in Manhattan? 2 things stand out, excellent customer service and the hotel location which makes it easy to use the subway to go across Manhattan and Brooklyn too. The customer service was top notch wherein all our questions and needs were addressed appropriately and in a timely manner. Daniel at the front desk/concierge was a delight to interact with. Housekeeping and room services was also very good and no complaints there. Location wise.... NYSE, Wall street, World Trade Center and 9/11 memorial and all of lower Manhattan/Lower Financial district is all within walking distance from the hotel. Subway lines 4,5,6, J, A, C etc. are easily accessible from the hotel via the nearby subway stations. Room size? decent room size as per NY standards.…
Excellent service and location. I stay in this area for close proximity to the ferry in preparation for the NYC marathon. Subway station across the street and surrounded by restaurants. Quiet at night and walking distance to sites and shopping. The room was small, but I had a terrace which was huge. Very clean and had all the amenities. Having a fridge and tea kettle was key to prepping for my race. Appreciated the complimentary chips and water. No one does that anymore. Staff was outstanding! I’d return to this hotel in the future. The race and heat wrecked me, but the hotel was an awesome second finish line to cross!
This hotel is truly wonderful. The staff are incredibly helpful, the room is spotless, beds as comfortable as home, there is no outside noise and it is within walking distance of the 9/11 Memorial and many good restaurants. Like most NYC hotel rooms it is small but well laid out. Highly, highly recommend.
Clean, trendy cozy hotel in the middel of Manhattan. Located centrally and very easy to reach by subway. Close to wallstreet. The room is medium sized but very efficiently designed. Great shower and bathroom. Very convenient working desk with an abundance of espresso coffee available at all hours.
We found the hotel modern and comfortable. The Deluxe King room is quite small, but a lot of New York hotel rooms are small. We enjoyed the location. The concierge was super helpful, as were the doormen. Our stay was really dampened though by lacking housekeeping and - more than anything else - the response we got from the front desk about it. So this review is really for front desk management. During our whole stay it seemed the only thing housekeeping did is make the bed. Not once did they change the sheets, replace essential amenities (like the bathroom soaps or toilet paper) or even give us clean drinking glasses. They also just generally didn’t tidy. On our third day we told the desk about this and asked for new soaps and toilet paper since we had run out. We had to go down and collect them. There was still no improvement for the rest of the stay, so at check out when they asked if we had any feedback, we told them again about these issues and said we were disappointed that nothing was done even when we raised it mid-stay. The woman at the desk first responded by telling us she suspected we had left the ‘do not disturb’ sign on and, if so, it was our fault. When I reminded her that the housekeeper had come in every day to make the beds, so I didn’t think it was our fault or that there was confusion about a ‘do not disturb’ light, she got really abrupt and defensive and started talking about how the snacks in the room were only a ‘first day’ thing and would not have been replaced anyway. That floored us - like she totally didn’t care or listen to a word we said. Who was talking about snacks? I told you we weren’t given soap or toilet paper and that dirty dishes were left in the room for five days straight, even after we asked for someone to come sort things midway through. Nobody cared about snacks. That whole exchange left a really negative final feeling. We didn’t ask for anything from the desk because of these issues so it isn’t like we were fishing for compensation. We just gave feedback because they asked for it. To have the desk rep respond so defensively and abruptly to us on the way out the door wasn’t great. If you don’t want feedback then don’t ask.…
Myself and my son stayed here Oct 19th to Oct 25th. From the very start the hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful and it smelt amazing as you walked in. The room itself was spotless and smelt amazing . The drinks and snacks are all complimentary and the fridge was lovely and cold. There are plenty of lovely white full sized towels along with a make up towel too. The heating in the room was amazing and all touch control for you to have it as hot or as air conditioned as you require, The beds are extremely comfortable too. The location is fab and has a subway station on the same street. 911 and the one world observatory is literally a five minute walk away as it a fab shopping centre and bars and restaurants. Our stay was just perfect and I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.…
I really liked this hotel, staff we friendly and helpful, rooms were average size but very modern and clean with everything you need, however they can be a bit tight if there are two of you with a few items of luggage. Overall I liked it so much that I will certainly stay there when I am back in NY.
This is just the perfect hotel for my visits to NYC. The rooms are spacious with large windows, and the staff is just wonderful! The location is great for walkers, also the Fulton st subway station is right there and it’s a quick walk to the east river ferries. I have stayed here three times since discovering it last year. I am so happy I have found a hotel that is so reliably perfect!
The Artezen is a first-rate hotel with quiet, cozy, rooms and a welcoming staff. Every single employee was warm and helpful, especially Carmelo and Solomon. I had not been to NYC in many years and needed advice about transportation and the neighborhood. I could not have had a better experience or felt more at home.
