Good morning, Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We always aim to accept constructive feedback and learn from it, but I did want to touch base on your points. The hotel invested a lot of capital into the renovation of our interiors, and Thomas Juul Hansen, world renowned architect, designed Mr. C. I will admit it is the first time I have someone tell us our halls are dark and dingy. Our housekeeping team works very hard to maintain our common spaces clean at all times. We are a non-smoking property and we strictly enforce this. We have not had any reports of anyone smoking in the past 2 months. We do admit that we had a few call outs last week due to the current pandemic we are living in, which affected our ability to have 2 people at the desk, which is the normal rule, and for this we do apologize. I am happy to speak further about your review privately. Best regards, William von Puttkamer

During 2 night stay, it seemed as though all possible issues gathered around my room. To start, I checked in around 5am where the only thing I confirmed is that all services were being offered by the hotel. I proceeded freshen up in my room until my girlfriend arrived, and then I left the hotel to go about my day. Much to my disbelief (given I had confirmed that there was full service), my room hadn't been made or organized in any way. I requested around 6pm that the room be serviced one I left around 7pm, but when I got back to the hotel at about 11:30pm the room still hadn't been serviced. I called to complain and they sent someone to organize the room, whom only organized the bathroom because apparently housekeeping had already left for the day/night. Unsatisfied and unable to change anything I went to sleep to not be too tired for my event the next day. To my disgust, the towels that were replaced in my room were dirty (with someone else's blood) and ripped (as if decades old and coming apart). The housekeeping manager came to the room to take the bloodied towel away so that there proof, and I did not wish to continue complaining with no solutions so I only took pictures of the ripped towel (you can reach out if you wish to see them). To make things worse, the front desk/concierge only offered me free breakfast in compensation; of which they did NOTHING when I informed them I do not eat breakfast so the good faith solution was (yet again) unhelpful. Lastly, to my amazement, the front desk had the audacity to charge my unknowing mother full price of the room for both nights, knowing the terrible service and experience I had been shown; probably anticipating my disappointment and reluctance to wish to pay such a steep price for what should was at best a 1 star service hotel.

An amazing hidden gem in the Seaport District. Have lived in NYC for many years and Mr. C Seaport has one of the best terraces (hotel or apartment) that I have ever experienced. The perfect view of the Brooklyn Bridge with a decent sized space to host others. If this existed elsewhere in NYC (it doesn't), would likely be at a ~10x price point. Staff also helped plan an engagement party for my (now) fiancé on the terrace. An amazing weekend First class all around.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a hotel in the Seaport area and stumbled across Mr. C Seaport. I am very glad we did. From check-in to check-out, everyone went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time. The rooms were very stylish & spacious, and top more expensive hotels such as St. Regis/Carlyle etc. We are already making plans to return. Many thanks to the hotel & staff for a great experience! -Scott Meholick

Had a good stay - discovered a whole new area of NYC ONLY 1 issue - pretty significant one. One elevator was temp out of order - then the remaning one was very slow - so myself, my 17 yr old daughter - along with another female guest, opted for the stars - down 4 flights to exit the hotel. Get to the 2nd floor stairwell only to see the stairs blocked with storage and boxes - could see street exit beyond - but was impassible - so back up - then followed EXIT sign to the remaining stairwell. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? I will not stay again until I am assured that the issue is rectified. I will advise AMERICAN EXPRESS of this issue - as I found the property on their preferred site...
