"Location Location Location!" Perfect Hotel for us on our USA Holiday! The service was exceptional throughout our Week long stay! The moment we got out of the yellow cab and was welcomed by Jullian, Prince and Joel. I knew it was gonna be a great stay. Checkin time after long flight was like 5mins. So efficient and informative Whenever we needed something / city advice etc The guys and gals downstairs were so helpful. Through the day there was ice lemon water or a berry ice tea always available. Popcorn and Cookies for the kids! Always a warm "Welcome Back" when arriving back after days activities. Room size was alright (its NewYork) :) 2 small children in tow! ...very comfortable beds and pillows slept well. Loved the free wifi through the hotel. The Smart TVs watching at the end of the night youtube and netflix. We loved the area that the hotel is in (Times Square, Theatre district, attractions, Central Park Bryant Park NY Library, MSG, the Piers for all the sight seeing Cruises all walking distance) The food choices around the hotel were great too. We only ever had the bfast in the hotel early morning before we set off for the whole day. The Gentlemen servicing the breakfast buffet were so nice and we talked Cricket from back home (Australia vs India) hah A few things tho -Quite a busy mid range hotel and therefore at around Checkout time Check In time or Housekeeping its sooooo hard to call an Elevator. or its always full and gotta wait till the third or fourth elevator. -No FRIDGE :( The closets are huge enough to put a little fridge in room... -Housekeeping was inconsistent with servicing time... day one 10am just before we set out for that day / day 2 around 2pm which was fine / day 3 9am kids were still getting up for that day day 4 back to noon ish etc one day it was housekeeping really late in the afternoon Unfortunately didnt get to use the SkyBar or the Front Lobby bar. I really like the Gym / Fitness Center on C Level I used it a couple of times. to work off the vending machine snacks haha Anyway I will re book with Four Points by Sheraton Midtown on our next holiday to NY!

During the week of July 4, 2019, I made a very big mistake by choosing to stay at the Four Points Sheraton Midtown Times Square. My 3 days at this hotel were absolutely horrible and resulted in me suffering a substantial injury to my head. I bent over to pick up my socks near the closet and when I got up, I did not realize that the hotel safe door had swung open on its own. I hit my head directly on the razor sharp corner of this safe door. I had a head wound that was one inch long and approximately 1 cm deep. I was required to get 5 surgical staples in my scalp to close this wound and received a Tetanus shot. I am a very careful person and believe strongly that hotel management is negligent in this case. The Sheraton Hotel has their room safes located at the top of the closet 6 feet up and there are no safeguards such as padding in place. This wound to my head could have been even worse than it was had I hit the safe door on another part of my head or face. However, this was not the only serious health and safety hazard that I encountered during my stay at the Four Points Sheraton Midtown Times Square. On the same day that I hurt my head on the room safe, I was forced to walk 19 floors down to the hotel lobby due to 3 malfunctioning elevators. I waited 10 minutes for an elevator and when none arrived to my floor, I decided to walk down. I went into stairwell B and almost tripped on all of the stuff that hotel personnel were storing in the stairwell including bags of garbage, cleaning supplies/toiletries and dishes/glasses. The emergency exits (stairwells A & B) on some floors were almost completely blocked. I did contact the Marriott Corporation, the FDNY and the New York City Mayor's office to file a complaint against hotel management regarding these serious safety violations. However, I honestly doubt that any of them will take any actions to prevent these serious health and safety issues from recurring and any guests staying at this hotel are at risk of serious injury. In addition to these serious safety issues, the bathroom shower leaked water all over the floor even with the glass shower door fully closed. This too could result in a safety incident such as a slip and fall. On top of all of the serious hazards internally at this hotel, the hotel is located on West 40 Street directly across from the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Within this area and on the same block as this hotel, there are scores of homeless people. They relieve themselves on the sidewalk and can be found laying out on the sidewalk of this block. Neither, the businesses on this street nor the City of New York actually do anything about this situation. Some of these people are very aggressive and will follow you to the hotel demanding money from you. This situation did occur personally during my stay. Due to the horrific experiences that I had at the Four Points Sheraton Times Square New York City, I will no longer give the Marriott Corporation my business. I am a former New Yorker, and I am very tolerant of many conditions. However, the conditions in New York City have deteriorated dramatically under the current Mayor and this has finally gotten to me. It is very doubtful that I will return to New York City anytime soon due to this terrible trip. I would strongly recommend that any potential traveler to NYC avoid this hotel at all costs despite all of the positive reviews for this hotel on various websites as I am not sure how our experiences could be so different. Better yet you may want to consider avoiding travel to New York City entirely if possible.

Dear NYCTravelerJuly4th, Thank you for your candid Feedback, in regards to your stay here with us. We do take all concerns and matters that our guests present to us and treat them with urgency, making it a priority to correct. Currently, we are working on all matters that you have mentioned, especially when it comes to the safety of our guests and hotel team members. We are only as good as the information that is given to us and we greatly appreciate you taking the time to share this so that we can correct and never repeat this moving forward. Most importantly, we greatly apologize for the experience that you had. We would like to connect with you directly, so that we can discuss further about your stay and what corrective actions we are taking to never have this repeated again. In regards to the city residents that you mentioned before. This is an ongoing concern of not just our hotel, but all of the businesses on this street. Collectively, we are all in communication with the NYPD and the community board about this concern and are monitoring our area for the safety of our guests, as best as we can with what we are allowed to do. We do hope that once we connect with you, that you would reconsider our property and Marriott as a whole, in the future, because we do deeply value the time that you have spent with us and would love a second opportunity to show you have we truly take care of our guests. Thank you Jessica G Operations Manager

Prince at the front desk would be who I would hire first if I was opening a business dealing with the public—he was incredible! So friendly, helpful and outgoing. The hotel was well situated by Broadway. The room was good and comfortable. The pillows need some TLC, they were really kind of useless, but that was my only complaint. The breakfast was pretty good as well, and the servers were incredibly friendly and efficient.

The room is very comfortable and extremely clean. I prefer fresh air, so even though it's in the 80s outside, I appreciate the option to open my windows and turn off the air. However..... after an extremely long day of work, getting back to my room at 11:30 pm, I would really like a snack before going to bed at night. It would have been helpful if the hotel had suggested I pack my own snacks. There are plenty of restaurants still open in the neighborhood, but I'm a business woman traveling alone so I'm not likely to go out wandering the streets for food options at this hour of the night. A snack shop in the lobby or a minimal room service option would be much appreciated.
