This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

The service from the door man all the way through the hotel was excellent. You cannot find a better hotel for the price. Location is excellent! The rooms were modern and spotless. I shall return when visiting New York City.

Review collected in partnership with this hotel
I booked our king room using IHG points. Everything was good. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was great. The room had some wear and tear, but it was minimal. Sleeping at night was quiet.

Great location, great rooms, great amenities, with a couple good restaurants. Check in was easy and the front desk staff was extremely helpful until...I was planning on renting a car the next day and asked how much it was to valet. The staffer said $50 for most cars and $65 for oversized vehicles like big SUV's. I rented a full size car from Hertz, which turned out to be a Suburu Outback essentially a station wagon. The valet charged me $65. I could understand if I pulled up in an Escalade but really? A car with a bubble hatch and he wanted to screw me for an extra $15. After making me wait 15 minutes on the street. After not having a valet ticket on him that required him to go back into the hotel. He didn't seem up to the task as a valet and had a bad attitude. Would it prevent me from staying there again in the future maybe not. But it sure left a sour taste in my mouth.

I stayed here on a Saturday night in June. Great location! I took Amtrak into NYC and the hotel was less than a 10-minute walk from the train station. It's also located near a number of subway lines and within walking distance of other major attractions. The hotel itself is modern and clean. Check-in was a breeze. I arrived early but that wasn't an issue. The gentleman at the front desk assigned a lovely room on the 18th floor with a view of the Empire State Building. I was pleasantly surprised at how large it was for NYC. Everything was pristine. I had fun breezing through the hotel's iPad, reviewing the amenities and services offered. At one point, I realized that I forgot to bring makeup remover wipes and submitted a request through the iPad. Within 10 minutes, someone from the hotel brought them up. I appreciated that. The bathroom is luxurious and the bed is comfortable. I had breakfast and lunch at The Vine and everything that I had was pretty good. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at this hotel and would certainly consider staying here again.
