Stayed at the Dominick for two weeks and it was wonderful. The entire stuff was wonderful but Paola at the friend desk truly made our stay and went above and beyond for us. Thank you Paola and hope to be back with you again soon! Thank you Xoxoxooxoxo
We picked the hotel based on the reviews and were absolutely delighted with our stay. This is a fantastic hotel- the staff, the rooms, the location, the whole experience is 5 star. The area is full of fantastic restaurants, bars and the general buzz of Soho- perfect access to the subway (almost directly outside the hotel), a handy convenience store and pharmacy opposite. Room wise, we went for the so-hi and requested a corner room- has great views over lower Manhattan, the Hudson River, and you can manoeuvre yourself to also see up towards Midtown. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough for if you’re considering a stay in New York!
Location was convenient for Soho shopping and dining. Room was spacious. It was quite dated with lights and curtain switches not functioning properly at times. Toilet was also clogged when we arrived. Hotel service was helpful to have these fixed. Nonetheless, it knocked a star out.
The rooms are very big as are the bathrooms. The housekeeping is perfection. And the best part for us on a sweltering august weekend was the beautiful pool on the 7th floor that we spent the day at on Saturday. Great location, great service, great views. Can’t wait to stay there again.
Not sure how this hotel gets its rating, but we had a very disappointing two night stay, especially relative to price and ratings. Of note: lobby is dark, poorly laid out and kind of dreary; our room was worn (rug stains) and bathroom was marginally dirty (eg., ball of hair on the floor); automatic curtains don't work (must be common issue as they have a chart of rooms with this problem); we were on a mid-teens floor on the Varick Ave side and noise from construction started at 5am; and finally, bed is placed directly in the path of air conditioning blower making it really uncomfortable as the unit switched on and off all night.
From the moment we were warmly greeted by Jose Guichardo at the front desk— who is marvelous- to the beautiful suite views of The City and our departure it was nothing less than impeccable service! Highly recommended if you want to have a tie luxury NYC experience.
I chose the Dominick after looking at every hotel in the city... this one really stood out and my selection could not of been better. Huge thanks first to Anna, Tiffany and Nicole... all of you worked with me to insure the most amazing moment in my life proposing to the love of my life who i found in NYC and we met for the first time during my stay. The attention to detail and the support EVERYONE at the Dominick is why i can honestly say that there is NO other place for us now... the spa was amazing .... the food was amazing... they set up all our dinner reservations outside of the hotel especially the proposal dinner at The Cut who's staff was also told this was a surprise engagement and the love and kindness with free champagne and flowers and chocolate covered strawberries in the room upon our arrival set the tone... honestly it was a whirlwind every moment was so precious. The room service was amazing and housekeeping... the pool area was really nice but on the day not to nice out... no worries the tub in the room looking out on the city truly took the romance to another level. With all our hearts we are forever grateful for this life changing experience and it was worth the wait for both of us to find each other and express our love in the most amazing hotel. God Bless all of you and management running such a great hotel with amazing staff who went above and beyond always. We will be returning for sure we are both thrilled and thankful i made the right choice big time. Sincerely, Christopher & Koko…
The staff could not be more accommadating, courteous and professional. The room was confortable and well serviced. The hotel lacks a cocktail lounge and the breakfast needs to be more inviting. We will be back.
The Dominick is in such a great location with even better staff and services. Check in and out was smooth and timely. Lots of places to explore around the hotel as most things are walking distance. Close to the train for any other travel needs.
Comfortable bed and LOVED the nespresso machine big time. Pool was a bonus and staff was friendly and kind. Was in town on business and flew in to Newark so it was a close commute in that was an unexpected delight. Would definitely recommend for business or personal travel
