I have stayed here quite a few times dating back to the Trump Soho era. This was my first visit as The Dominick. I still love the hotel. The rooms and staff are superior to anything else you will find anywhere near soho. They are professional and go above in most instances. For us, they slipped a bunch. The valets seemed awesome and said they take care of my car but I ended up getting a ticket anyway. I guess take care for them meant leave it out front but not actually watch for the agent. Disappointing to get a ticket after a $50 tip. Our room didn’t have any nesspresso pods or a microwave. Asked for them to be brought up, never arrived. And a bill for room service that didn’t belong to me ended up on my account. None big deals. But minor annoyances that shouldn’t happen at this caliber of hotel. If you say you’ll take care of my car you better mean it. And if you say you’ll bring up a microwave and coffee you need to follow thru. And someone should have caught that 2 bills for breakfast over $100 on the same day for 2 people wasn’t normal. I should not be the one to catch it a call to reverse it. Probably would still go back as they are the nicest hotel anywhere south of 14th street.

The room was incredible (one bedroom suite). There was a wall that closes off the living room where there is a pull out and the bedroom, which kinda made it a private 2 bedroom. The electric curtains are a nice touch for lazy nights and mornings to open and close with the NYC skyline as the backdrop. Almost looks fake, although spectacular. The service was more like 3-3.5 star. Manager on the 7th foor was snarky. The hostess at the VESTRY wouldn't let us in for 1 drink even though they weren't schedule to close for another 10 minutes and the restaurant was full. I would expect nicer for people spending that kind of money at a hotel. The concierge was delightful and introduced us to Jane, a lovely breakfast spot and was full of nice ideas. The front desk staff and housekeeping also very lovely.

The Dominick hotel is the perfect hotel. Why? Because it does everything well and it does it with an efficiency that is uncommon. Even better is how nice the entire staff is to any and all guests. I have stayed at the hotel often and each time I leave refreshed and smiling.

This is an extremely busy hotel, conveniently located, well appointed. Unfortunately there is zero mask enforcement. If you do not want close contact ( door people, elevators, front desk staff) with maskless people, choose another property.
