Every time we come to NYC we chose to stay at The Dominick. We love the larger rooms (the family suite is perfect) and the location. We wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else. We walk to amazing shopping, dinners, etc. We love the rooftop pool and there is always a chance you can catch the fireworks for the 4th of July. This is our 4th time I the last 2 years that we have stayed at this property and everyone our expectations have been met (or exceeded!).

Check-in was great and the room was fairly modern and updated and somewhat spacious for a New York City king room. Unfortunately, I received a room where the air conditioning did not work. I didn’t notice it upon check-in as I am mediately went to dinner with friends and then returned from dinner and went to bed. I noticed upon my return that the room was a little stuffy so I turned the AC down but when I woke at 3:30 in the morning it was much hotter in the room than before so I called maintenance. The engineer that came to my room arrived quickly, was very pleasant and quickly assessed the problem (Broken fan no way to fix quickly). He asked if I was OK with the room change which I really didn’t want to do because I had everything unpacked but didn’t really have a choice so he arranged the room change two doors down. They said they would send a bellman right up with my new keys but unfortunately I had to call three times and this took more than 30 minutes. It seemed more like a couple hours when you are exhausted. They basically handled everything nicely but flubbed the easiest step like missing the extra point in football. Upon checking into the new room I discovered it was a fair amount smaller than the original room and there were holes in the sheets. Not what I would expect from this class of Hotel. I will update with more information about day two at the Dominick once I can get some sleep. AC is working in this room. Would I stay here again....yes. Would I hope for no problems...yes.

I'm remiss, but I stayed here a few months ago--for the second time--with my teenage kids. The room was spacious and relaxing with sophisticated feel and completely amazing view of Soho ("The Eleven" room). The service is great and the staff is really friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect for shopping, walking Soho, tripping to Mulberry for dinner, etc. Such a great find. I would continue to come back for sure. They also have really cool little pool and bar area (which you can see with Google Maps! : )
