Hotel's Favorite
We picked the hotel based on the reviews and were absolutely delighted with our stay. This is a fantastic hotel- the staff, the rooms, the location, the whole experience is 5 star. The area is full of fantastic restaurants, bars and the general buzz of Soho- perfect access to the subway (almost directly outside the hotel), a handy convenience store and pharmacy opposite. Room wise, we went for the so-hi and requested a corner room- has great views over lower Manhattan, the Hudson River, and you can manoeuvre yourself to also see up towards Midtown. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough for if you’re considering a stay in New York!

This was a lovely experience staying at the Dominick. Staff were so helpful, calm beautiful lobby, nice gym, a calm oasis in the middle of the city and a fantastic neighborhood. I wish that I could have stayed a few more days!

Extremely well located hotel close to the heart of the village. Rooms clean, well sized and kitted out, friendly staff at front desk, pool/bar area good and very hip vibe generally. Some of the gym equipment (Peloton bikes) was annoyingly out of action despite multiple requests to fix pedals, the shower in my room seemed to be either boiling hot or freezing cold (my colleague had the same problem in his room) and the curtains in my room were stuck. Breakfast is ala carte only, coffee was not good and vibe there was strangely not as friendly as elsewhere. Despite some minor disappointments, it was nevertheless a very good experience and I would go back.

I would give this hotel 6 out of 5 stars if I could. It was an incredible experience to stay at the Dominic. It's a perfect location in SoHo. Not too far from uptown or downtown. All the staff took care of us and went above and beyond. The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. It was also very quiet. The bed was comfortable. All the furnishings were clean, neat, comfortable. The soaking tub was amazing. I loved the technology in the room as well. The fitness center had all the options. I could do my usual workout routine without much deviation. Last but not least, I had the most incredible view of the city.

We (59/14) had a wonderful week in The Dominick. Everything was fine, that's why it isn't easy to find something special. The whole staff was unbelievable friendly in every minute of our stay. It starts with some friendly messages before arriving, it continues with a really really friendly personal Check in, we got a perfect room with incredible view, the housekeeping was excellent, the doorman, the employees in the pool/spa, the pool ... still everything. The Location is perfect ... I don't know, what to say more - thx for beautiful days, RR

We recently spent four nights at The Dominick. It’s in a great location. All the staff were so helpful and friendly for our entire stay. I must mention the Housekeeping staff. Our room was immaculate, always fresh towels and replenished coffee and water. A few times we were getting ready to go out when the turn down service arrived, they didn’t hesitate to come back once we’d ventured out for the evening. We’ve stayed in several 5* hotels in New York over the years and The Dominick has been the best. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back and recommend this hotel to friends. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The room was too small. We originally had a 538 sq ft room booked and upon arrival they advised us to upgrade to a better room with a better view. We accepted and we were shocked to see that the room given to us was very small and barely 400sq ft. The soap had a terrible smell. The shower gel too and is very difficult to get out of those bottle on the wall. the shower is tiny. everything was cramped in the bathroom. There is only one low sink and the water spills out on you when you are washing your hands. The bed room was small. the bed is very soft and the pillow even softer. making it very uncomfortable to sleep if you have any type of body ache or back pain. the famous view they said they upgraded us for is coming from a tiny window half covered by a sofa. overall very disappointing. for 800 usd paid for a room this was outrageous. to top everything we tried to have breakfast at the mezzanine cafe, and the bill came out to be 190 usd without gratuities for 2 persons. I could not even understand that bill. on the breakfast menu it comes that the american breakfast is 38 usd and the continental 30 usd. we did not want everything on there so we decided to just ask for part of the continental and part of the american. my husband had a pot of yogurt(14 us) 4 pastries (16 us) 2 coffees ( 18 ) , an orange juice (12 us) , I had approximately the same and the overall without gratuities was 190... I could not even believe it. I just paid and left disgusted. the only good thing here was the staff being friendly.

Apart from all else, what needs to be said about this hotel is that it has become too tricky for its own good. It does itself a disservice. What the hotel offers for the resort charge is inconsequential and deceptive when it comes to the "lowest tier high speed" internet service; which is presented in tiny writing and not "high speed". Instead the guest is asked to pay $14.99 per day for a proper "high Speed" connection. The food and beverage in the breakfast room is monumentally overpriced and of average quality, hence the offer of a breakfast food credit to the value of approximately $100 per day. Overall the hotel is good but it lets itself down with this pricing chicanery. When the numbers are run, i'm not sure there isn't better value to be had elsewhere. Otherwise the hotel is quite good.
