I was in NYC for one night and booked this through TravelZoo for ~110 + [all the crazy] taxes, but still under 150.. Given how expensive hotels in the city typically are, and the fact that I was only here for the night, I think it was well worth the money. I would give it a 3.5/5 (provided you're paying... More

The hotel is a decent hotel for business trip. The advantage of this is its location. Easily accessible from the different areas in the city and also from the tourist attractions. The China market nearby is again a good play to buy and savour authentic Chinese food.

Yes, the rooms are tiny. Yes, the hotel isn't the most elegant but, we had a room on the 12th floor facing the Manhattan Bridge entrance as well as a view of One World Trade. The room was nicely appointed and the bathroom was modern European marble and also was small and the water pressure left a lot to be... More

It's in Chinatown and wonderfully walkable (if you like walking) to lower east side, Soho, East Village. So it's in a relatively un-chic neighborhood but super close to a lot of NYC's best places. Chinatown is below the numbered street grid so streets in the area have names rather than numbers and you may want a map. You can get... More

This hotel is conveniently located close to the Grand St. Subway Station, on line D towards Coney Island. The hotel is basic, but more than adequate. The rooms are small, but not petite and a reasonable size given you are in Manhattan. The bathroom area is quite generous and is supplied with plenty of towels and a nice collection of... More

Stayed here June 27- June30. I was traveling alone for fun so I wanted a hotel that was in Manhattan but also not as expensive. (No way was I going to pay $250+ a night for one person). Got a priceline express deal on this hotel and was pleased with what it included for the price. I was a little... More

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and we were 2: my wife and I. The hotel in general it's ok, nothing special but it's a good 2/3 stars and it's clean, which to me was the most important thing. Breakfast is very poor and low quality food except for cereals which were the ones you can find in... More

Quick and friendly Check in, old and dusty rooms (on the 2nd floor at least) with coffeemaker, safe and iron. Aircondition is at least 20 years old and noisy. Wifi works pretty good. Surroundings of the hotel are quite dirty and chaotic (it's chinatown after all). Lots of chinese shops and restaurants nearby. 3 minutes walk to the nearest subwaystation.... More

The staff was friendly and the room was comfortable. It was easy to get around the area by foot and subway. I only stayed two nights but had some excellent meals within walking distance. Overall I would stay again next time I am in New York.

Hotel is in a perfect location, You are able to walk to Little Italy and Chinatown. Soho not too far away either. Request a room on the 11th floor as it has a perfect view of the Empire State and Chrysler Buildings. The rooms were smallish, but totally adequate for us (A couple and a child). Breakfast facilities were great... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
