Had the hotel booked and paid for, the hotel cancelled and refunded me back less than I paid! This forced me to look for alternative accommodation and pay a higher amount to stay elsewhere. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, it will cost you even if you don’t stay!!!!

Hotel is closed, but still allowed me to book my stay. Showed up and the front desk was super sketchy. We can’t book you in, we won’t talk to you, you need to speak to a manager!!! Pretty sure it’s turning into a migrant hotel, but the hotel desk won’t tell you anything!!! Check out the ACE hotel or the Kimpton just down the street!!!

Fantastic experience with this hotel, I highly recommend. Room was clean (four of us shared a room with 2 double beds), and it was fine for what we needed - a base, just to sleep and get ready. The location was fantastic!! Just be aware of the extra daily fee (wifi, water etc) which is not optional.

Hotel is situated very well for sightseeing, restaurants, pubs and clubs. The rooms were very clean and tidy and room service was excellent. Food was excellent and staff were very polite and helpful.

Where do I start!? So seriously I love this hotel for many reasons and a little put off for small reasons. Good: On our first day checking in me and my partner were totally horribly burnt out and you can see it.... The person checking us in "Chantel" was her name.... Pure gold. She was super kind, friendly, accommodating and definitely had awareness of the situation which is crucial for a client facing role like hers. Location: If you like to walk the location is awesome and we picked it partly for this reason. It's smacked in the middle of anywhere you want to be in NYC, so most Lyft or Uber fairs were from $12-$30 to most anywhere around the city if you don't take the subway. Design: If nothing else The Redburry has awesome style and design is well thought out. I loved it. Not so good: The first room we got the first didn't even have space for the suitcases... the bathroom was literally bigger than the sleeping space..... We upgraded to a Deluxe for the next 7 days. There were small things missing in rooms of a hotel of that caliber that were off putting.... Since I don't like to bother people even if I am paying this was a bit a fuss to have to go down or call room service for slippers, Tooth brush/paste, water.... hotel water.... There was also an added amenities fee if I'm not mistaken but.... I felt there were little to no amenities for this. Staff: Like I said before "Chantel" was a godsend and the fact that it's the only name I remember says a lot ha.... I'd say 90% of the experience with the staff was brilliant and lovely. There was one particular staff member that was not so friendly and made a fuss about us asking for water.... (Note we were staying at this hotel 8 days consecutively)... This attitude I'd expect from a motel or a 7 Days in, but not a Chelsea $200-300night hotel... On that note please put Kettles in the room guys.... Atleast the Deluxe rooms should already have basic things already in the room like I mentioned earlier. Overall I'd say I had a great experience with a few small bumps but it's expected after staying so.many days right? For 1-2 days I'd definitely stay again, but I need to stay for s week or longer I'd suggest staying somewhere else if you don't want to bother staff for small things over and over. Great experience overall!

I made a booking through British Airways in May 2022 for travel at the end of April 2023. I was due to stay in a one bedroom suite with 2 doubles and sofabed to accommodate 3 adults. I was told by BA with less than 3 weeks to go that the hotel has informed them that they are closed on my travel dates. This is shocking - surely the hotel knew before this? I have stayed at The Redbury previously and always recommended it. I certainly won't in the future. I'm now struggling to find a room that has 3 separate beds! Poor!

Dear RebeccaM, Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and the affect the temporary closure of The Redbury has had on your upcoming trip to New York. We notified all booking sites of the extended closure due to unforeseen circumstances through the remainder of the year with substantial notice, it is disappointing that this information was never relayed to you directly. We would be happy to extend any assistance needed in the relocation process as we understand the difficulties that are presented in sourcing alternative accommodation at this time. Please reach out to our team directly at frontofficemanagers@redburynyc.com. Thank you,

I secured a reservation for December 2022 in early July 2022. At that time there was NOTHING saying the hotel was closed or that the reservation was in any way contingent on a reopening. Four months later, at the end of October 2022 my reservation was cancelled. No information as to why. I had to call and spend 10 minutes on hold only to be told that the hotel was closed and wouldn't be reopen in time for the reservation. Now I get to try and find a new reservation which will be harder and more expensive.

I took a contract to work at a NYC hospital and urgently needed a place to stay. I had called several hotels and was having difficulty securing a reservation for the amount of time I needed. Luckily, I found The Redbury on a website called Furnished Finders. I spoke with Kelsi. Kelsi was so helpful and quickly got me set up with a reservation for 2 months in a large room at a reduced rate. A day or so before I arrived to the hotel, Kayla, the guest relations manager, called and asked if there was anything that I needed for my room. I had never had a hotel go to that extend to personalize my room. She asked what drinks I liked. I told her I just drink water, so she provided my room with a mini fridge and a Brita water pitcher. She also provided a microwave. When I arrived to New York, Kayla welcomed me. The personalized service from the staff has been a standout feature to this hotel. I also love how everything I need is within walking distance of the hotel. Its close to the 6 train so I can easily get downtown or to central park to see the beautiful cherry blossoms. My sister came for a weekend visit and they welcomed her as well, even with a short notice she was able to get a nice room on my floor. The rooms are comfortable with soft bedding, lots of pillows, and a plush robe. This hotel goes beyond what I had expected. Once life returns to normal, I'm excited to return to New York with my husband, see a Broadway show, and stay at the Redbury.

I stayed at the Redbury on March 15,2020, the day all the restaurants and bars shut down and social distancing became rule. The hotel is very near my daughter’s apt., so it was very convenient. My daughter had been to the restaurants attached to the hotel, and she said they are very good, but they were closed by the time i got there that day. My room was very comfortable, a queen standard room, nice sized room and bathroom, very clean and had a big window. My daughter came to my room for dinner since restaurants were closed, and we ordered in. The restaurant we ordered from forgot to put plastic utensils in with our order. I called down to the front desk and a staff member Saved the day and brought us up some utensils and napkins. My check in and check out were easy, and staff and management could not have been nicer and friendlier, given the new and sudden restrictions. I will definitely stay there again. Thank you to all. Tough times, but we will get through, and I plan to eat in the hotel restaurants when we can.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It has been such a weird time to be in NYC with all the restaurants and bars closed and I am so happy that we were able to help you feel comfortable and at home while you were here with us during this time. Please do reach out when the dust has settled and we would be happy to have you here again. Hope to see you soon. Kayla
