Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location, close to subway station and walking distance to MSG and Penn station. Times Sq is also close by. Lots of great restaurants in the area. Great Greek restaurant on the ground floor. On a street famous for flower sellers so is nice to see their displays as you walk by. Very clean and...

Enjoyed one night at the Hayden. Small but very well appointed and well maintained room at a reasonable price. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I was impressed. Mid-town location is great for access to events. All in all a good stay.

My friend and I had a wonderful weekend getaway at Hotel Hayden. The lobby is brand new and sleek and the location is excellent -in the heart of Chelsea. Everyone was super friendly. We were very happy with the hotel and the entire experience. Thank you!

We stayed here for one night after we extended our stay in NYC. We were looking for a less expensive hotel and found this on hotels tonight for $100. The room was a nice size with a king bed, mini bar and free wifi. My only complaint was the air didn't work, as it was a blistering 55 degrees that...

There is a great ambiance when you walk into Hotel Hayden. The whole pace looks so clean. The staff was immensely helpful with the luggage and the outdoor space was comfortable and relaxing. I would definitely come back with my family next time. There was a lot of great attractions in the area.

After seeing some of the reviews, we almost passed on this hotel but didn't! Apparently the renovations are finished and the results terrific. Our room was a King size and very spacious by NY standards. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and a valet immediately began helping us unload. We were there for the Westminster Dog Show so we...

We were on the 8th floor, in a room with a king size bed that was very comfortable. The clean room was of a good size, not that squeezing feeling I have had in New York. The bathroom was also large, with a rain shower (not perfect but OK, with some of the water going sideways). Nice TV. No views...

Great location in Chelsea in the flower district. The hotel was just redone and has a sophisticated yet hip feel. The lobby is beautiful- all white Carrera marble and my room was, large (for NYC), spotless and also well decorated. Bathrooms are a good size too with plenty of flat surfaces for my stuff. The staff at the front door...

Hotel Hayden (formally Hotel Indigo) is a very nice spot in NYC. Good location close to different areas (walking distance to MSG, Empire State, etc.) and while it is stated as being "in" Chelsea it is really on the outskirts of that neighborhood. Also easy walking distance from Penn Station (we came in on the train) so not far to...

Do not stay here. If you forget something in your room they will lie to you and say they never found it. I stayed there this past weekend and left ballet flats there by accident. I called the hotel four days later when I realized (I've done this before and never had a problem) and asked to speak to someone...

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
