At the intersection of the Fashion District and the Flower District, it’s a modern boutique gem just steps from world-famous local landmarks (including the Empire State Building and Madison Square Garden). Formerly the Hotel Indigo Chelsea, the hotel welcomes its guests by treating them to stylish 122 guest rooms and suites, full-service restaurant, a round-the-clock Fitness Studio and Business Center, and a rooftop bar with city views both old (vintage water towers) and new (Freedom Tower). At Hotel Hayden, we’re all about anticipating your needs. Whether it’s fast, reliable WiFi, a workout that fits your schedule (even if it’s before dawn) or a welcome treat for your four-legged travel companion, we won’t stop until we know we’ve provided the service and amenities that are essential to your New York City stay.

I can't tell you how disappointed I was. I know Covid has hammered many businesses but wow. I stayed here 4 years ago, it looks like they haven't maintained anything in all that time. From the dirty lobby to the peeling wallpaper in our room to the rust stains in the grout in the shower, I am beyond disappointed. Maybe I'll try again in a year or so, but for now, look elsewhere.

This is a nice hotel in a perfect location for a weekend in NYC. However, they charge an unexpected, unacceptable $25/day "resort fee" for no service! there is no breakfast, or any other services that can justify such a fee. I say we, traveler should boycott any establishment that have these kind of practices.

If you are on a budget, and in town for a few days, then this is a great option. Location is great, with subways close by and walk-able to the Penn Station. This is NOT a 4-star hotel, contrary to what some travel sites listed it as. 3-stars at best. Room and bathroom was clean, and the bed was comfortable enough. The water in the toilet was continuously running, which was VERY annoying. I only stayed for a couple nights so was not a problem for me, but if you are staying for longer or if you are a light sleeper, then that can be a problem. Only one AC vent was working, which was facing the window side of the room. The provided iron in the room was not working so asked for a replacement iron which the front desk immediately sent. The new iron's power plug kept on retracting, so had to plug it in and hold it until i warmed up and then unplugged it to iron the clothes. Pros: 1) Great location. 2) Couple minutes from the subway in either direction. 3) About 7/8 minute walk to the Penn Station. Cons: 1) Water kept running in the bathroom toilet. 2) Only one AC vent was working. Overall: If you enjoy the finer things in life, then this is definitely not for you. Otherwise, this is a great budget stay.

This is simply a solid option if you aren’t looking for something over the top or excessively luxurious. I stayed a few nights here while apartment hunting and It’s in a great area, the staff was divine and the room was very spacious which is impressive considering the room size of its competitors on the same block like the Moxy which has rooms half the size for the same price. This is by no means a hip, trendy hotel but this is a great hotel nonetheless. So if you need a nice comfortable place to stay in NYC at a fair price and don’t need a bunch of bells and whistles, I’d recommend this hotel.

This was my experience in July of 2021. This is really a motel NOT hotel! The toilet was not clean. Pubic hair in the showers. Hair outside the shower. Bed did not have proper linen! No COVID-19 protocol
