We had a terrible time here. Me and my gf wanted a wonderful couple of days in New York. The main reason we didn’t was because of the front desk agent who was very rude. She worked the morning shift for both days we were there (May 30-June 1st). She was not warm welcoming and we had many issues of our trip and she didn’t care. We requested toothbrushes and clean sheets. She gave us housekeepings extension that didn’t even work. S We later came down that night for the night front desk agent who actually put the request in for us. It wasn’t that difficult. Upon checkout the same morning shift agent was again rude and didn’t say how our stay was which wad terrible. Our toilet was also not flushing and no one came up to fix it. It was the worst time and I paid good money to stay somewhere wonderful. This place is not it! They get 0/10 in my opinion. - Paul

We travelled as a group of 5 in two rooms. Hotel was in a great location however I disputed the nightly service fee. My booking at booking.com clearly stated what was included. There was no restaurant, the roof top was closed, mini bar empty and no dressing gowns. There was no juice available in the mornings nor butter or jam. Not really a continental breakfast, just stacks of pastry and apart from tea coffee, nothing for the teens to drink. When my card was charged, I was charged more than the booking.com agreement..I have mailed the hotel in excess of 20 occasions since to seek a resolve and apart from the 2nd mail I have had no response. Very poor service and I also dispute service charge when no services were available. I am now seeking escalation as my charges were in excess of 250 of my booking agreement. I have all my document.. Hotel is tired and needs updating.

I have to be honest, our main gal, Val was amazing very accommodating! But specifically about the hotel itself. Hopefully the owner reads this. The hotel needs a lot of updates. Just to name a couple issues: -Dust on the headboards of the bed. -Drain for the showers did not work, dirty water not draining while you shower. -floor boards and furniture chipped, dented, and just look used and abused -Stains on the walls, your mind can just wonder what type of stains they were. I love the location, but when you are not completely comfortable in your room, its hard to say you would come back.

I stayed at the Hotel Hayden for work and the staff were really accommodating and helpful. Val,at the front desk was friendly throughout my stay, and Tracey as well. I had to receive boxes of samples for a shoot and they were helpful to ensure to inform me and they had a cart to transport the boxes. I didn’t have a space to prepare for the shoot and they were really accommodating to allow me and my team work in the dining space. Before and after the shoot. They ensured after I had checked out that any outstanding pick ups were taken care of. I would highly recommend for any stylist looking for a central place to work in for fashion projects.

First and foremost, the staff here are wonderful. My complaint is with the owners/operators who charge a $ 30-a-night "resort fee". When I enquired as to what service I receive for the fee, I was told breakfast, baggage storage, gym, and business center. I was informed that even if I didn't use any of these services I still had to pay. It states on its website that luggage storage is FREE. Perhaps, you should pass this "resort fee" onto your employees who are the people running the hotel instead of using to get another country club membership or yacht. Better still, use it to fix the room that looks like a room in a crack house. The electrical box cover was hanging off and not attached and one of the drawers was broken.

We do currently have a $30 per night facility fee which includes access to our fitness room 24 hours, package handling, storage of luggage prior and after check-out, also the daily continental breakfast 7:30am to 10:00am. ROOM WITH LITTLE SPACE, POOR BREAKFAST, THEY DON’T EVEN OFFER BUTTER OR ORANGE JUICE, BASIC ITEMS FOR A SIMPLE BREAKFAST. THE FURNITURE IN THE BREAKFAST AREA WAS OLD AND POORLY MAINTAINED, NOT AT ALL WELCOMING. THE RESERVATION MENTIONED WE WOULD HAVE BOTTLED WATER IN THE ROOM, WHICH DID NOT HAPPEN ON ANY SINGLE DAY OF OUR STAY. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE HOTEL SERVICE AND WHEN CHECKING OUT OF THE HOTEL, I SAID TO THE FRONT DESK ATTENDANT THAT I WOULD NEED TO PARK MY CAR IN THE GUEST PARKING SPACE IN FRONT OF THE HOTEL, INTENDED FOR LOADING AND UNLOADING BAGS. TURNS OUT THAT THERE WAS A CAR PARKED THERE AND GUESS WHAT, THE CAR BELONGED TO A HOTEL EMPLOYEE. THE FRONT DESK ATTENDANT ASSURED ME THAT SHE WOULD ASK THE EMPLOYEE TO MOVE HER CAR OUT OF THAT SPOT, BUT WHEN I ARRIVED, FOR MY SURPRISE, HER CAR WAS STILL THERE. MY WIFE, WHO REMAINED AT THE HOTEL LOBBY WAITING FOR ME, TOLD ME THE HOTEL EMPLOYEE JUST REFUSED TO MOVE HER CAR OUT OF THE SPOT. UNBELIEVABLE! IT WAS VERY ANNOYING AS I HAD TO STOP MY CAR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET, BLOCK THE WHOLE TRAFFIC AND LOAD MY LUGGAGE IN A HURRY. THE HOTEL ITSELF IS WELL LOCATED BUT VERY POORLY MANAGED. I WAS VERY UPSET WITH THE PARKING ISSUE!

Our stay was fine. The room was comfortable and of a decent size for NY. Decoration could use some refreshing but overall pretty good. However, customer service is non existent.. I booked through booking.com and ended up being charged 300USD on my credit card. I’ve been trying to call every day to try and get the matter sorted but no answer. Only managed to speak to someone once and they told me to call again cause their system was down.. I’ll be happy to amend my review once this is sorted out but this has almost doubled the cost of my stay there… Can someone please get in touch ??

We decided on NYC for the Spring Break holiday. Since we are a family of 4, We wanted a location close to NYC's subway system so as not to feel overwhelmed by the other tourists in midtown. The ideal choice was the Hotel Hayden based on a recommendation. The guestrooms were quite large for an NYC hotel and the subway was on the west side of their city street. Unfortunately, their rooftop and restaurant were closed for renovations; yet, we were near many other options. However, we appreciated their complimentary continental breakfast. My wife informed me that she received amazing service from Carlos in housekeeping. Anytime we requested additional items, he always greeted us with a smile and gracious warm hospitality. For me, great customer service is something that will always drive me back as a repeat customer. We will be back for sure!!

To start off, the hotel doesn’t A/C until a certain time in the year. Our room was so hot that the paint was probably close to peeling off. The breakfast (if it’s even considered that) was made of muffins, fruit, and yogurt. That was it. For the $35 a night charge, you’d think you would get at least some bacon. When asking about the A/C issue, they didn’t tell us they didn’t have A/C in April, they sent the security guard up to turn off the heat. He made it very clear the buttons were no longer working. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Good central hotel but not as advertised. No roof bar available and breakfast was pretty poor. Food not like in the picture. Rooms okay, but very dusty and not sound proof from all the street noise. Lorries delivering flowers and foliage to the florists. Hotel Needs a little bit of care and repairs.
