Great location in Chelsea in the flower district. The hotel was just redone and has a sophisticated yet hip feel. The lobby is beautiful- all white Carrera marble and my room was, large (for NYC), spotless and also well decorated. Bathrooms are a good size too with plenty of flat surfaces for my stuff. The staff at the front door...

Hotel Hayden (formally Hotel Indigo) is a very nice spot in NYC. Good location close to different areas (walking distance to MSG, Empire State, etc.) and while it is stated as being "in" Chelsea it is really on the outskirts of that neighborhood. Also easy walking distance from Penn Station (we came in on the train) so not far to...

Do not stay here. If you forget something in your room they will lie to you and say they never found it. I stayed there this past weekend and left ballet flats there by accident. I called the hotel four days later when I realized (I've done this before and never had a problem) and asked to speak to someone...

We found this jewel of a hotel in the middle of Chelsea (which is exactly where we wanted to stay)to be incredibly beautiful, service oriented, amazing rooms! Pleasantly surprised how large and well appointed they are. The staff was so accommodating and friendly we felt at home immediately. The restaurant is great as well!

We chose the Chelsea area for a staycation in NYC. The Hayden is a perfectly situated hotel with a great modern feel to it nestled in the heart of Chelsea. Near great restaurants, subways, art gallery's and shopping. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and well appointed. The staff is incredibly service oriented and accommodating. The restaurant is great and has...

I came to NYC for a weekend with my girlfriend and we came across this newly renovated boutique hotel. The lobby was brand new and is beautiful. The receptionists were extremely friendly and even though we were early they gave us an available room. The hallways had a really nice mural and brand new carpet. The room was very large...

I really enjoyed my trip to New York. I stayed there this past weekend. The hotel is brand new. Charming and modern white marble lobby invites the guests to stay and unwind. The restaurant, Mykonos Blue, was incredible. Octopus, whole fish, calamari....absolutely amazing. Fish lovers delight.

After a poor experience at my former go to hotel in Chelsea, a friend recommended 28th Street and there we found four properties from which to choose. Hotel Indigo is a Euro Style hotel that is simple and minimalist but it does it right. The 7th Avenue subway is right at the end of the block and the 6th Avenue...

The hotel was quite nice and definitely spacious for New York. As it is a little out of the way we had zero street noise keeping us up at night but we found everything within pretty good walking distance (we do like walking though) however Penn St station is right there if you want to subway uptown or downtown or...

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
