Such a beautiful hotel and the front office staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and efficient. Being a fellow hotelier I know the struggles of the operation. 10/10 I would highly recommend this property.

My fiancé and I decided to stay here because we had 2 free annual Hyatt nights to use from the Hyatt Credit Card and we didn’t feel like going too far. We typically stay near Grand Central Station when in NYC but it was a nice change of pace to be in a different area. Generally speaking, the area around the hotel is a bit dirty compared to Midtown but the hotel is in walking distance to both Brooklyn, The Oculus Mall and WTC Memorial. The rooms at the hotel were very nice and I loooovvved the Nespresso machine/free coffee in the lobby every morning. However, I have to knock a star off for 2 reasons: 1) while the room was generally clean, I always wipe down surfaces in hotel rooms with antibacterial wipes and a lot of dirt came off of the bookshelf in the entryway of our room. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. 2) My fiancé wasn’t feeling up to going out one of the nights so we decided to order in from a local Indian restaurant. I placed the order online and it said it would be there in about forty minutes. Fifty minutes later, I still hadn’t gotten a call but the room phone rang and then hung up after one ring. I wondered if it was the front desk trying to call saying that my food was there so I called back and asked if they tried calling me but they said no. When I inquired about my delivery, they said there was an order waiting in the lobby for 20 minutes. It’s weird that the restaurant never called me (but I can’t recall if the online form asked for my phone number or not). However, I find it very odd that the people working at the front desk didn’t take a look at the order, which had my name and room number on it, and call me, after it had been sitting right in front of them for that long. Not the type of service I would expect from a Hyatt. Those two issues aside, I would highly recommend the hotel for those looking to stay in the area.

This hotel is excellent! The staff, like Rob and Simon at the front desk, are very professional and attentive. The hotel has great amenities and is located in the heart of the financial district. Great stay all around. —Kurtis

We were in NYC for a week long trip as a family with a young child. It was our first time staying in FiDi and it was a great and less stressful area compared to midtown. But what made this stay really memorable was Gild Hall. The staff was incredible. We arrived late after cancelled flights and lost luggage but we were welcomed and quickly checked in by Nicole. Rob and the rest of the front desk staff was always friendly and helpful every time we went in and out of the hotel. Room was on the small size but did not feel cramped at all because of the great use of space. My only minor complaint would be the elevators were slow and took a while especially when one elevator broke down but the staff did apologize for this. Also the pillows seemed old and worn so would definitely consider replacing already. Otherwise, we would definitely be back and recommend friends to stay here.

Front desk service experience was excellent, rooms quiet and impeccable. Hotel is not far from the 911 memorial and from the subway. Try the food in the restaurant as the service and food was excllent. Thanks Guild hotel staff for having a 5 star service.

It does have a bit of 'kink' to it but don't let that put you off if it is not your style. Gripes - no robes, would prefer tea and coffee in room (there was not any English tea in lobby either from what I could see) and our bath had had a repair. That said the room was clean, lovely high ceilings and the bed and bedding were super comfortable. The room was a god size for Manhattan with fantastic high ceilings. We didn't try the on site restaurant but it was busy, the bar staff were lovely. For tea/coffe/breakfast try the grocery store other end of 'Stout' who do take out including hot breakfast or The Pearl Diner nearby on Pearl Street. The front of house staff are great and will answer all our questions honestly. Robert (Guest Relations) and his Team have a great product here and the area is fine - its quiet outside of office hours but even going for a smoke at 1am I felt as safe as you can in a big city (I live in London so maybe I don't find big cities as intimidating as others might) but with anywhere just be aware of your surroundings home or away. We saw the same lady walking her Cocapoo most days on her own.

What a fantastic hem of a hotel just off Wall Street, very chic, lovely room, great location for exploring Manhattan and NY. What really made the hotel though we're the staff, all very helpful and friendly, all really took pride in their job and gave a family run experience to the hotel. Each time we came into the hotel we were offered a glass of prosecco which was a really nice touch. We also made use of the free bike hire, riding alongside the Hudson up to Central Park before back to the hotel and yes...a glass of prosecco. A special mention for Rashida ( sorry if spelt wrong ) who was so friendly and loved her job. Will definitely be back Thanks Mark and Cheryl.

Hyatt Discoverist. In NYC for a weekend trip. Located in FiDi you're going to be in a quieter part of NYC where things tend to close earlier, but you have a subway close by that will take you where you need to go. Pros: - Staff were all friendly and happy to help. - On site restaurant was priced fairly and the food was good. Cons: - The rooms need some TLC. While they were spacious it's been a couple of years since it received a facelift. Bathrooms especially feel like it needs some work. - Location - as shared above, it's either hit or miss staying in this part of the city. We liked it bc it was quiet but also didn't like it bc there were no real options after 9PM. Would come back if I were in FiDi for work, but due to it needing an extensive facelift I don't know if it would be my first choice. However, again, staff is nothing short of great.

Booked the hotel via work for a business meeting - the hotel is nice as was the room and bed, the staff are friendly and the restaurant is nice as is the room service catered for by the hotel. As a female staying alone, I did feel a little uncomfortable returning to the hotel after dark, the area is very quiet at night. Other than the restaurant there is no where else to 'be' in the hotel and the room looked out onto another close building hence there are no views over the city and the room can therefore feel a little oppressive over a couple of nights.
