It's huge touristic hotel. Rooms are really tiny! But clean. The best point of it - location! Empire state building and Macy's are just 7-10 minutes walking distance. Times Square id about 20 minutes walk. Metro station is just next to hotel. for us was quite hard to find good restaurant close to hotel. Mostly there were pubs and fast... More

We booked this hotel after reading the reviews on trip advisor and definitely weren't disappointed. On arrival we were greated by Mohammed who arranged for us to upgrade our room to a much larger one for a small fee, we got a fantastic view of the empire state building for free!! We asked for a coffee machine which was brought... More

I have stayed in this hotel on numerous occasions, with my mother and younger sister when we travel to New York. It is in a fantastic location with Macy's literally five minutes away for all those eager shoppers. The bedrooms are very modern and comfortable, with the hotel having undergone renovations in previous years and it is perfect for business... More

Spent a week here on a first visit to New York. We had a room on one of the top floors with a fantastic view of the Empire State Building. By day, the view stretched out for mile, by night you could lie in bed and watch the lights of the city. Not the biggest of rooms, but plenty big... More

Well looking at the pictures of this place it looks very good, and to be fair it's good, I'm just not sure it should be 4star. Once you leave the lobby it goes down hill. The decoration needs to be updated, looking at it it was painted back in the 90's the bathroom tiles were painted lime green and the... More

The "Art Deco" New Yorker Hotel enjoys a superb central location, above a subway station and a stone's throw from the Amtrak Penn Station and Maddison Square Garden. Empire State Building 10 minutes walk, Times Square, Broadway and Central Park a little further away but still within fairly easy walking distance although I would recommend a 7-Day pass to use... The New Yorker Hotel was chosen after checking all the reviews on TripAdvisor and it lived up to it's reputation in all aspects. The location of the hotel is perfect as it is so central. Ideal for Broadway shows, shopping at Macy's and the Fashion District, Madison Sq Garden and Penn Station. The room size was normal for NYC (i.e.... More

Just 15 minutes walking will get you to Times Square and although crowded we never once felt unsafe making this trip. Loved the decor throughout the hotel - iconic 1930's feel about the whole place. Our room was small but perfectly adequate with two beds and a view of the Empire State Building. You can upgrade to a larger room... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
