Can't fault it. Especially as it was also much cheaper than the average Manhattan hotel. We stayed in a Premium Queen room on the ground floor. The room was spacious, clean, nicely decorated and comfortable; the staff were friendly and helpful; the location was within easy walking distance of many 'must see' sights. Wi-fi worked as well as any US... More

Glad we chose Seton for our 3 day stay. Staff was courteous and helpful. Rooms were adequate if not spacious. They were clean and comfortable. Located a few short blocks from Grand Central Station, it was easy for a visitor to get all around the metro area. I considered the price to be a genuine bargain. I will cheerfully stay... More

They charged me d o u b l e the price they charged a friend of mine for the same kind of room for the same days (we were together here). They argued that this would be the prices booking.com made and that the hotel had no influence on that. We called bookom.com and they confirmed that it is the... More

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Due to the fact that you were not happy with the rate you paid we issued a full refund upon check-in which allowed you to stay elsewhere. FYI: Hotel rates can and do change constantly on an everyday basis. This is a common practice that occurs worldwide for both hotels and airlines. If you and your... More

This was a quick last minute booking and I feel this hotel was more than a bargain. Everything about it is very simple and to the point. Staff is professional and very friendly. Room is very spacious and clean, and the reliable air conditioning is like the cherry on top. Really quiet area of Midtown, yet a walkable distance from... More

This old hotel must be popular as it was so full, I had to take a room with a shared bathroom and shower down the hall but still had to pay over $200 for a same-day booking due to Amtrak's notoriously late arrival of The Maple Leaf from Toronto. The location is good, with both a late-night Irish pub and... More

Rooms were small, but location was great. Elevator was small and slow. We just used the stairs unless we had bags. Front desk staff were beyond helpful. Would stay there again. Blooms deli up the street was also great.

The Seton has gone thru a facelift and it has become my favorite place to stay because of the value. The Seton offers several options when it comes to rooms for example their cheapest room is the "Standard Economy Shared Bath" this room is great for when you are only there for the night or just need a place to... This is well located to walk to much of New York and only a short distance to Central Station to catch the subway. Make sure you choose rooms at the back of the hotel as they are quieter than the front. The window-located air conditioning units are noisy and the rooms are quite compact, but clean and comfortable. Small room. Renovated small bathroom. Noisy AC. Good location with easy access to Grand Central and some attractions. No fridge or safe in the room. Helpful staff. Luggage storage available. Good restaurants around.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
