Chose this hotel because it is close to Madison Square Garden. Room was small, but very clean and comfortable. Every staff member we encountered was very friendly and professional. Would stay there again.

Booked this hotel due to the proximity to the Javits Center. The room itself is fine, relatively clean, comfortable and quiet. I found the front desk staff to be average, they definitely do not go out of their way to be helpful or friendly. I asked for ice and was told the machine was broken, but I could walk across...

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night while he was attending a conference at the Javits Center (very close). We were able to park right across the street for $25 for 24 hours. There is a small lobby- not fancy no bar but perfect for our needs. Our king room was clean (small) the bed had nice pillows...

The GEM was excellent. Perfect for staying with a shot walk to the Javitz convention center. Staff was wonderful. Plenty of places to walk to nearby for lunch or dinner. Even a gas station with Dunkin Donuts next door.

cozy hotel 1 1/2 blocks from the Javits Center. Staff friendly and very helpful. They held my shipping for pickup and loaned an umbrella when it rained. I was on the first floor, next to the elevator but at night the room was quiet. Small hotel, nothing fancy but clean and great for a business trip. Comfortable king bed, refrigerator,...

The room was small but the weather was perfect so we were out most of the time. It was a short walk to Midtown and the Highline Park. Easy to catch taxis headed uptown or downtown. The room was very clean.

The staff as great–friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. I was on the first level, so the room location wasn't great for me, and a bit noisy as people came in and out. It was clean and comfy so, no major complaints from me. I could have just asked for a different room and I'm sure they would have given it to...

Your Review I think my experience was not the best because of the location of the room. Room in the basement next to housekeeping staff. There was trash found in the bedroom. I couldn't change TV ch. I

Positives: very clean room and bathroom; bathroom had plenty of towels and the hot water and water pressure (in the shower) were great; front desk staff was very friendly and helpful; beds were very comfortable; TV and free wifi worked great; Dunkin Donuts right around the corner; although we were on the second floor, it was still quiet at night...

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
