Firstly I would like to say the that staff on reception are amazing, and so so helpful! Unfortunately I would not stay here again for the following reasons: - Lobby so full that residents can't relax there/even get a seat. This meant that unless you want to go to the Breslin restaurant it's hard to get a bite to eat unless it's room service - Rooms are so dusty and smell of mould. I know its an old building, but both rooms I stayed in were the same. AC units in need of a good clean. - Cockroaches spotted on 3 evenings. One thing to note was that when I left for work on a morning there were room service trays left outside that had been there overnight, which could be attracting the bugs. - Loud (old) pipe system. I was woken up by the shower from next door daily. Not a problem for me as I was working and getting up early, but would have been annoying if on vacation I've stayed at many of the Ace hotels in the past, and would stay at them again, but I would give the NYC one a miss. Very overpriced for what you get. Thin walls and guests having parties in their rooms with lots of (non paying) guests makes it feel a bit more like a hostel than a premium hotel.

A very hipster and nice hotel, the lobby is a large bar with a buoyant scene which you have to cross in order to get to the elevators. Rooms are quite big, and if you read my reviews you'll notice I appreciate space very much; the only downside is that they tend to be a bit murky. The decor is a thoughtful take on rugged/industrial/reclaimed.The desk in room isn't very comfortable, but you can get away with working 1-1.5 hours without discomfort. Overall I would say it is a great place, specially because it feels true-NYC (whatever that means).

Ace hotel is my preferred hotel when visiting Manhattan. It is the most fun, cool and well run hotel! The little details are well appointed and my room is always clean! The staff is fantastic and make you feel as if you never left home. They help in any way possible and because I’ve been staying here for years now they consider me a part of the family. Thank you Ace for another amazing experience. Tommy Froelich

I stayed at the Ace Hotel NYC based on the recommendation of a close friend. It’s a very lively hotel located in bustling Midtown. The hotel staff were so friendly and accommodating. The space is visually appealing with artifacts and interesting art pieces that catch the eye. It’s a great place for the single traveler as well as families. If I could change one thing about the hotel is the size of the bathroom. The hotel room bathroom was really small.
