We had a lovely six nights here. On a pretty street, in a fun neighborhood, in walking distance to great places to eat, visit--and the subway for easy getting around. Kevin was a friendly, helpful host who made everything easy, including our arrivals at separate times. The bed was super comfy, and the shower, while on the small side, had... More

We stayed at GV Habitue over Halloween weekend and had a great stay. The top three attributes of this place are its location, price, and the owners' hospitality. You are located in a charming village between Chelsea and the Meat Packing District, only a short walk away from restaurants, markets, shopping, the High Line, and the subway. The price is... More

An excellent retreat in a quiet part of West Village but close to the action. We were two couples with one apartment each and it was ideal. There was everything we needed both in the apartment and close by including places to buy food, wine and plenty of restaurants. A citibike point is in the next street and the Hudson... More

9 nights at a great price for NYC - beautifully furnished, fully self contained apartments for solo or couple travellers. 2 mins from High Line & Whitney Musuem. 1 block from Hudson River and bikeway - easy to ride Blue bikes. Fabulously cheap cafes in quiet West Village streets. Just 2 subway stops from Times Square, 42nd street. Kevin &... More

Just returned from 8 fantastic nights in New York. We stayed in apartment 1 on the first floor at the back of this brownstone. The studio had all the space we needed for the week, providing a relaxing, well equipped and comfortable retreat at the end of our full days exploring the City. The location was ideal, 10 minutes walk... More

We spent a long weekend at the Greenwich Village Habitue and had a wonderful time. It has a fabulous location, 1.5 blocks from entrance to the new High Line outdoor sculpture garden and the new Whitney museum. Our hosts, Kevin and Matt, were gracious and helpful. Our suite was very comfortable with a view of the English garden, good light,... More

excellent located, close to the new Whitney Museum and the High Line! Very helpful host, good size lounge, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and separate bedroom. Just bear in mind there is no lift so you might not want to choose top floor although the flat is lovely and spacious.

I spent a week here recently with my best friend. Our apartment was beautiful, we absolutely loved it! Loads of space, spotlessly clean, and in a brilliant location. Kevin, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, and if either of us go back to New York, we would definitely go... More

Great location. The apartment is much larger than a hotel room. It has a separate lounge, dining room, kitchen and bathroom. It is old but has character, such as beautiful lights and old furniture. Bed is comfortable. Lounge is new, gorgeous and comfortable.

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
